A must for artists who want to practice
I found out about Sktchy when I saw a promo for the #30faces30days challenge. This is a great community of artists who share inspiration images to work from (which is hard to come by) and also share their art and encouragement for each other. The variety of artistic expression goes from beginner to expert so there is something for everyone. I didn’t understand at first how to get the inspiration images loaded from the challenge I did which is the only trouble I had with the app so far. It wasn’t intuitive for me but they did give written instruction which I completely missed in the first email. Maybe a visual tutorial would help? Regardless, I highly recommend for any artist.Show lesswheresmyasprin?
Best app for stepping up my art game!
This app, the challenges, the community, it has been the best for me as I dive into a very late in life exploration of art as playground. I love the small community feel, inspirations, tips, and every aspect of it! Wonderful
With every update this app just keeps getting better and better. They listen to what people want and find ways to implement that. It’s not just an app it’s a community; both for artists, art enthusiasts and the like. You don’t have to be an amazing artist; there are some that create poems based on inspiration photos, some that want to inspire with poses. Fun challenges to improve your drawing skills
I joined the Sktchy community after seeing the huge improvements of a fellow artist with daily practice. I’ve had so much fun participating in the #30Faces30Days challenges but more importantly I have improved my drawing skills. Seeing the work of other artists is so inspiring. Not only is this a great resource for pics to draw from but you get to see work by amazing artists. A great caring, sharing community. Love it, thanks so much for making it available 😊 My only complaint is that you now have to pay for access to their events and that is the only way to see the previously free videos of other artists sharing their tips and processes.Show lessJacquipp
Selfie central...
Sktchy is a great app for artists. The concept is wonderful. However, the “inspiration” side of the content is always a bit lacking due to the fact that the majority of the photos submitted are terrible ‘selfies’ of people just wanting free art of themselves. I wish there was a way to better filter content to hide the selfies and look for the people who actually submit good inspirational photos. Vanity, I’ll tell ya.Show lesstravisshanksart
