Pretty decent app for UK travel

I downloaded this to use while I was in Scotland to travel between airports. Booking a taxi was super easy and I received an email confirmation as soon as it was submitted. I doubt I will use this app once I’m back in the states, but overall I feel like it’s a pretty decent app. My only complaints are: one, I was unable to pay online (I think that was because I was using a prepaid travel card) and two, I had to log back in every time I exited the app. These two things weren’t deal breakers, so I am still really pleased with the app.

Basic app - terrible service

It’s easy enough but makes it appear as if the job is done and confirmed. It’s only when your taxi never shows that you realize it’s useless. We called the service number and the woman, after realizing we’d been stood up, hung up on me and canceled my ride. No attempt to help or offer suggestions. Would not recommend to anyone.

Hi Riley, we are truly sorry about this experience. We are not the providers of the taxi service, just the dispatch system that transport companies use to get their bookings. We can communicate with the company that you booked to report this inconvenience.

Hi, in this case the company that you booked with configures the reservation options in the app.

Truly rubbish

Ordered a taxi with 2 hours notice and the app just said “too short notice”. Snappy.

The drivers are rude and always charge more then what the app says the price is , would not recommend this to anyone

Needs improvement

There needs to be a way to save a booking. Let’s say that three days a week, you want to book a ride from point A to point B. You have to enter the information every single time.

Also, it is very annoying that the date is always shown “European style” with the day first and then the month. If I book a ride on August 1st (that is, 8/1) why does it say I booked the ride for 1/8? If you're going to sell an app to be used in The United States, then at least give users the option to display the date the way Americans are accustomed to.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Regarding the bookings, you can save them to your "favorites" if you want to repeat this trip in the future. Right now the calendar is based on the European standard. We will take your comments into consideration for future development plans.

Taxi didn’t arrive

I ordered a taxi with ET cars in bromsgrove the other day and it didn’t arrive. I googled the company and they don’t seem to even exist?! Another company I’ve used on there has been fine, but it’s very annoying how I receive loads of emails for each journey I take using this app. Stop emailing me!

We are very sorry to hear that you've had a negative experience with your booking. The email notifications are configured by the taxi company in question but if the emails sent were similar to spam or simply too many we can definitely bring it up with the taxi company in question. In order for TaxiCaller clients to be bookable in our online booking apps they need to provide us with documentation proving that they own a taxi company and that it's a legal entity in their area of service.
