  • Easy to learn for beginners

My needs were simple. I play the Dulcimer and it’s hard to find any contemporary music written specifically for the Dulcimer. Now I can find any song written in any key, input it in the app, transpose the song to the key I need and build my library of songs!!
You need a decent grasp of music theory to use any composer app. I can’t speak to the full capabilities this app offers but it seems to offer everything you’d need.
I manually enter each note, rest etc. It’ll let you know if you haven’t entered enough beats in a measure which I find helpful. You can fix your mistake or save the song with mistakes.
    It’s great!

  • It was great at first… But

This app was great at 1st but then it started getting all these updates. I can now only export 20 measures in my songs. I just used this app yesterday and everything was fine. But then using it today it kicks me out every time I opened a song. I tried re starting my Phone hoping that would help but it didn’t. It’s the apps problem. And I even tried deleting the app and getting it again but that didn’t work either.

  • This app used to work very well, but not anymore.

This app used to work great and let me create music however I wanted. Some things were confusing or frustrating, but I made it out eventually. Sadly, a while ago the app just started crashing every time I opened it. All my songs are locked behind it, and even my backups aren't any help as opening them just opens the app and crashes it again. I just want to work on my song again. Please fix your app.

  • Alright App -- Recent Problems

I think this app serves it's purpose pretty well as a mobile composition tool. There are a few things that could be better, but from a free app, it is decent enough and there are ways of utilizing it to it's max.
I first used this app about two years ago when I first started writing music. Since then I have found better tools away from the mobile devices (MuseScore, for example), but recently I wanted to start up an old iPad Mini that could not be updated past iOS 9.3.5. Luckily enough, this app appears to support from iOS 8+, so I thought I was good. Unfortunately, on this old device it only crashes every time I open the app.
There is just simply not enough that an iPhone (for example) can give to be the perfect composition app, and it really requires a laptop (at least) to do everything. But for a (free) mobile composition app, it does the job pretty well.

I hope this bug can be fixed (whether it is the apps fault or my device, I'm not sure), but from my past experiences with this app, it is a great starter and is worth a shot.

  • Best music composing app!!!

I’m 16 and I play trombone in a high school band. With so many good songs and memorable parts in them, I wanted a way to get these tunes out of my head and onto paper. With this app, I was finally able to compose for myself instead of having to hand write the music for all parts. The transposing feature is a life saver. You only need to know one instrument, and then you could write songs for a symphony, or a marching band, or even a rock band. The only downside to this app is that the free version is only 30 measures long. However, the full version is purchasable within the free app for 30 dollars. It is a one time purchase, no reoccurring payments. Almost every other app required a computer browser or a monthly payment to create your music. This app gives you the same capabilities as you would get on a computer, which is so hard to come across on mobile devices these days. So glad I found this app, and you will be too!

  • Inspiration killer

I think this app was more straightforward when I first got it and you could just start entering notes on the stanza. Now you have to fill out a whole form to get started and the keyboard blocks your ability to finish filling out the form thus, filling your spirit with righteous ire and murdering the inspiration you had that made you reach for the app in the first place.

Just record whatever you are working on and wait until you can get back in front of your PC and use MuseScore.

  • Not Reliable

I have been using the paid version of this app for many years, and out of nowhere all the scores that I've made have been deleted. I didn't back them up before so now I have to find a new app and rewrite them all. This app is good for beginners, but if you're looking for a reliable score app, I would suggest looking into Flat or Musescore. There are many other problems I have with this app in terms of ease of use, but those are my final thoughts as I will be deleting the app shortly. Not worth the money spent for the full version.

  • Really good app just one thing I don’t like

When I first got this app I got the free version and it had all the features I needed but I came back to it one day they changed something about the amount of measures could be made and I got mad because it had a cap of how many could be played not made this is really the only feature I don’t like so can you tell me why you changed it and maybe change it back.

  • Lost some music

I’ve been using this apps for years now and I really like it but sometimes I’ll lose songs that I’ve been working on and it’s really frustrating because I know I didn’t delete them. I hope for a trash folder in the future that holds deleted songs for 30 days unless deleted again.
  • I love this app!!!

I just got this app like a few minutes ago, but i am already in love!!! I like how you can make music for any instument, no matter how well known. For example, I play the euphonium, and i can write music for myself! I recommend this app to every person who wants to write music without having to use a ruler to get the staff lines perfectly straight!

P.s. The ads are rare and the one i have encountered was music related, so i dont really mind.
