Needs some work

Hello so I’m a subscriber to this app… and for the most part I really enjoy your playlist and overall it’s an ok app, but if I might suggest some ideas to help improve it. For example i don’t know if it’s the area or my phone or what but the gps is terrible on it … it keeps saying gps found then like 2 minutes later gps not found or whatever it says and it’s really distracting and if it’s off (which I made sure everything was on and connected) it won’t track my heart rate or any of my stats. Also the whole thing is not very user friendly it’s a bit confusing for someone like me that isn’t to tech savvy. The positives are the music playlists I really enjoy them, and the meal plans are great and not to hard to make. I wish there was an easier way to be able to track my water intake I feel it’s tough to get into that screen all to log a bit of water… but over all I feel these are just some pointers. I really enjoy this app over all and will continue to suscribe I just hope those issues get fixed or worked on a bit. Thank you!

Hi, it’s great that you enjoyed the in-app recipes and music mixes 🎶 And many thanks for sharing your thoughts with us; we'll consider your feedback for future updates. ✅ Meanwhile, you can track the workouts as well as your heart rate using the Apple Watch.  ✅ Furthermore, you can follow the in-app Menu - Settings - Audio settings and disable System Events to switch off the annoying 'connection lost' notifications. Please reach us out via the in-app Help Center for further assistance — we'll be happy to help and explain more. Your, Verv.

Great workouts

I have never enjoyed running all that much, but this app allows me to push myself and I actually look forward to my run days. I enjoy doing these runs outdoors instead of on a treadmill because I can go as fast or as slow as I possibly can. I feel like I get a great workout in under 40 minutes. I don’t particularly pay attention to the distance or calories burned, I just push myself as much as I can. I also enjoy the playlist they have!

I feel if you were to do 75 hard this would be a great outdoor workout you could incorporate in! Highly recommend

App is a good tool/ needs some updating

This app has been helpful for getting back into running with (weight loss).
Cons- I am 10 weeks in and really haven’t lost but a few pounds (my clothes do fit better). The meals are not realistic and do not have a calorie goal target, so it is just completely useless. The GPS signal loses tracking every minute (literally) where I live, so running music and coaching is interrupted constantly. The water tracking won’t let me hit 128 ounces (1 gallon) which is a standard tracking amount, so I stopped using it as well.
Pros- seeing my run first helps me prepare for it and the cues are on point. The music options are pretty good and the sprint have definitely improved my pace. The watch app is great for treadmill runs (it just needs to add a link for water 💧 protection. You can’t have both turned on and be able to see your run). The team is responsive and helpful with questions. Overall, I’m still using it until someone does it better or they iron out the kinks.

Dear User, thank you so much for your detailed feedback! Though we would be honored to be the best running app, we still have things to work and focus on, so we appreciate your ideas. Please reach out to us if you need assistance with this - we're just one message away🏃‍♀️

Lots of playlists

This app has a lot of playlists to choose from, and music pace changes between running and walking. There is a good range of workouts to choose from too.
You get periodic feedback on pace etc., which is great. You can also choose to have positive reassurance along the way by styles of different ‘trainers’.
I would like an option to select my distance e.g. 5 km and for the playlist, with feedback, to go for this period and gradually increase walking to more running. The options for distance in the app as it is, are only what you build up to, e.g. 5km program starts with around 3kms and works up to 5km after 7 weeks.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback! We are also open to improvements - so we may consider this for the future🌿

Entraîneur ordinaire

Hardly a “trainer”

Great running app, a few suggestions though

So I paid for the 1-year premium subscription so I could get back into running after having a baby. Before baby I was running about 15 miles a week, sometimes 5 mile days so pretty decent runner. The program started out super slow for me but ramped up really fast, so fast that I couldn’t keep up especially when I was running outside. A few suggestions to make:
1) Don’t ramp up the intensity so quickly. In the running for weight loss program, there’s only one day where you walk after sprinting, then it’s all running. Give us a week or more of walking after sprinting to adjust.
2) Allow users to adjust how long they can run. Usually I only get 30-40 min to run in the mornings, so when the time increases to 48 mins long, I basically never get to finish a workout.
3) Allow users to customize their own workout. I would like to create my own workout with 5 min running, 30 seconds sprint, 30 seconds walk, then repeat for example.

Dear User, thank you so much for your detailed feedback. We value our customer's opinions, so we appreciate your review. We always strive to improve, and adding more customization would be a great plus for sure! What concerns the intensity, we've developed our app in such a way so that users can get used to running fast but still smoothly. We have different training plans depending on the user's fitness level, but we will take into account your thoughts. Thank you!

Not worth it

Not really a plan, just some random run schedules

Response from developer

Hello there! Oh no, we are sorry to hear this. Please note that we provide our users with customised plan based on their needs, preferences and personal choices. We have many sport options (not just running) and are always eager to help if needed - just contact us at support@verv.com🍃

Premium or lots of ads

Downloaded this a while back and it was pretty cool
Can’t give too much of a recent update as I’m going to try using it again. Just from reopening it, it keeps popping up the subscription options hence the lower stars. I’m trying to get the thing set up to use and the subscription box pops up with the x too high in the right corner to click and have to exit out and start over again (using an iPhone 12 Pro Max)
Maybe I’ll update this review if I’m ever able to get it to work to try it out.
The last time I used it, I had premium and you could play your music while running but it was muffled. It wasn’t worth the additional cost for me. Now that I’m going to get back into running again I figured I’d give it a try, but we’ll see considering I’m not able to get the run started

Awesome App

Love all the combo available for run plan according to individual goals, realistic yum food plan to match and Great choice of Music - a big thanks for the motivation! (My only disappointment is that I would hv liked the option of a 7 day trial rather than ‘payment up front’ as this would have allowed me to know if I wanted to invest per month or year options...)

Hi, we’re so excited to read your review😍 Thank you for trusting us to guide your running workouts!

This is a great app, but some major flaws

First, this is a great app that changes up your ruining routine and gets you in shape. However, I find it frustrating that there is no easy way to start a training plan over. While you can go back and run a same workout, there is no way to repeat the whole training program without resetting the whole entire program, losing your past data. Not ideal for progressive training.

Also, the watch app is very far behind. Would be great if I could get the same coaching feedback info from my watch that I do if I still ran with my phone. It’s 2021, running with an iPhone is so 6 years ago especially with a heavy iPhone 12 Max Pro.

The watch UI could also use an update, I much prefer to have all the stats, plus the HR on one screen so I don’t have to keep flipping screens during a run. You could get rid of the icons in the stats screen and have more screen Real estate. The main screen, would be ideal if I could see more clearly what’s up next.

Lastly, what’s with the watch not recording elevation gain during my run.
