Can’t do anything unless I pay

I first got the app with no desire to pay for any of the subscriptions; the basic free plan was enough for me as I just wanted something to get into better shape. I wasn’t too serious about my fitness. I did the first week, where when an ad popped up, I accidentally bought the free trial plan. I cancelled it and then, today when I went to get on the app, an ad popped up telling me to ‘keep running with my plan’. It gave me the options to buy the different plans but there was no way to get out of the screen. No X in the corner or anything. I’m not willing to pay for the premium, and it seems the app is forcing you to even though it didn’t do that before when I used it. Very frustrating, I really liked the program, but if it’s going to randomly force me to pay for a plan I don’t want then I’m not going to continue

Brilliant

I’m not a runner in fact when I started I hated it. This app builds you up so slowly that you don’t feel stretched past what you can manage. It’s brilliant I’ve completed the 5k programme over lockdown and have started the 10k where it also builds you up from nothing with short runs turning in to 20 minute runs. I have come to look forward to the days that I go out to run a complete 180 from where I was in March.
The only thing I would add if I could is the ability to programme a run how long you walk, run and even sprint to get some interval changes not just a free run but something that you could time?

I found this app and I never in a million years thought I’d be running 5 k and it really keeps you motivated as the runs gradually increase . I love it and if I can do it anyone can . I love it and will keep up with it try it you won’t be disappointed plus the music mixes are fantastic you can adjust to your run speed great idea !!!

Data no longer accurate

I’ve used this app for months and enjoyed the run training and now doing free runs and walks since recovery. But the distance is not accurate. I was trying to do a 10k this weekend and stopped the run at 6.2 miles. I was doing this with my boyfriend who’s tracker said we had done .25 miles more than Verv did. So I kept going to get to 6.2. Now when I look at the run log is says I did 7.02. This is totally useless data to me if I can’t rely on it. This has happened for a few weeks and I’ve reported it but nothing but “you can go in and edit it” which defeats the purpose and I don’t KNOW how far I am going. I will give it a few more weeks but if it doesn’t stop will cancel before monthly payment. I’m not paying $15 a month for inaccurate data.

Not a free app - no idea how it works

This is not a free app, you are unable to use or see how it works without signing up to a 7 day free trial but you must confirm payment info so if you don’t cancel you will be charged 9.99 a month thereafter. I hate it when apps advertise as free but then you can not access any features without handing over payment info. I would much prefer to access an app with limited features to get a feel then sign up to a free trial of a premium service. I also do not like the sneaky pricing structure, if you want a free trial you will then be locked in to paying 9.99 a month but if you blindly sign up for an annual membership without having any idea of what the app includes you only pay 2.50 a month. Gives me the impression that the app isn’t after a long term user base but profit. Not the app for me.

Hi, thanks for reaching us out. Kindly note that adding the card info doesn't force you to buy Premium immediately. You can try it for a free trial period to decide whether you want to pay for the monthly subscription, switch to another one, or just cancel it and continue training for free with a Basic account 🍀 For further assistance, please, reach us out at support@verv.com — we'll be happy to help and explain more. Thank you!

Worked well until it didn’t

I really liked this app. I used the free version two years ago to get into shape and tried using it again recently. My problem was that there were so many ads for Premium that I accidentally tapped one and my Touch ID purchased it. Luckily, I was able to end the free trial but once I tried to get back on it would send me an ad with no way to cancel it. I can’t access the running program and it it’s super annoying. I tried deleting the app a few times which didn’t work and always had the inescapable ad. I also contacted customer service but they never got back to me. So... I switched to a different app that’s not quite as good when it comes to the program but it does let me run so it’s an improvement.

Great app w/ responsive support!

After a 2-year hiatus from all training, I used this app to get me back into a running routine. I LOVE having a “coach” with me on my runs! I don’t have to think about my workouts—I get to just do them.

I began with the Start Running plan, which would be great for anyone just starting. It’s a walk-jog program that just gets you moving. After that, I wasn’t sure which plan to try and sought advice from the Support page. I expected a generic response but instead received thoughtful, detailed guidance specific to my own experience. WOW! I also love that there are 3 workouts per week, which is consistent but not overwhelming—and it’s interval training without having to plan it. I just start my workout and follow the verbal cues. It offers variety while building my speed.

I can’t say enough good about this app. I do the premium (not pro), and there are meal suggestions and a water log water and health tips. You also earn badges along the way, which is just kinda fun.

Hi, thank you soo much for your review! That means a lot to us💜 We're happy to hear you enjoy our app content! Have a lovely day☀️

Amazing except the annual fee.

Everyone wants an app like this! So much useful tips. Great programs and support. You will love this app for it’s use ability. Ease of use. My only sadness is I have to part ways with it after the 7 days trial. I can’t afford the monthly or annual fee. Even a £10 - 20 annual fee would make huge profits but I guess the price of world fitness is more expensive. I had to review as I owe the developers this much for providing a 7 day trial. If you are in a better financial state than me do not hesitate to buy as it might well change your life or lifestyle. Ultimately if you don’t want to do the time don’t do the crime. If you don’t want to run then eat clean.

2nd Time Happy Customer

I used this App a couple of years ago and loved it so much I upgraded to premium. Following an injury and changing job to a long commute I let my fitness slide.
I’ve paid for another year of premium as it’s time I lost the weight and my son who hates running trains with me and is loving it.

Surprised to read some negative comments as I’ve never had any issues. Love being outside and a year of premium is pretty much the same as my old monthly gym subscription. The difference is I’m not bound by opening/closing times. Really enjoying it again and stretching before/after had no injury issues so far either.
The music selection is great and we take turn in choosing a genre.
Determined to keep it up and move from running for weight loss into another bracket after the 8 weeks.
Using free pintrest fitness pics and vids too on non running days for max effect.
