Improving - just add Passkey Login!

App is getting there! Just add passkeys to log into ProtonPass and I am golden. 2x Yubikey Passkey Devices + Recovery Code = Most Secure Proton Login

One more thing.. the password generator needs easier access and more options. I use to to generate passwords for other people (so copy and paste) so it’s good but not as good as LastPass for example.

Hi! Thank you for your review! We'll be looking into adding passkey support for Proton accounts in the future. If you have any additional suggestions, feel free to contact us at https://proton.me/support/contact to let us know. Edit: Thank you for the follow-up! We've shared your suggestion internally for future consideration. Stay tuned for updates!

Early adopter noticing the incremental and gradual improvements over time

I have been using Proton products since it’s early beta days, I have to say Proton Pass specifically started off with a few bugs as expected with any software solution, the team at Proton have never seemed to disappoint me with how fast they are fixing bugs and developing new valuable features.

Keep up the great work guys!

The account does not work and there is no refund of the paid money

On April 02, 2024, I bought a tariff for two years, paid $191, on April 04, when sending a message to myself, my account was blocked! There is no access to more than one service, I wrote a letter to remove the block - the block was not removed, I wrote for a refund - there is no answer either! It's my mistake that I bought it for two years, there is no service and there is no refund of the paid money! I won't contact proton anymore!

Addition: the money was never returned, they wrote that the money would not be returned. Tip: do not buy a long subscription. $191 was not returned, the account is blocked.

Love it

Been using Proton for awhile as a service. Proton Pass is phenomenal!

So smooth

Man I love proton everything. This password keychain is just the bomb. So easy, intuitive, I will continue to support you for as long as you stick around. Thank you.

Apple's Monopoly is ruining tech

I feel like Proton Pass is an example of Apple, deliberately, making apps not work properly to force people into the Apple ecosystem. I have clearly set Proton Pass as my password manager, but Apple automatically defaults to the internal passwords UI regardless. The option to select and autofill a password on the iPad Keyboard is ridiculous. The fact that Apple doesn't even allow different keyboards is a clear indicator that they don't want fluid experiences from other services.
when I click on a empty text box to add a password, the Proton Pass app is never an option. Apple is continuing to ruin their reputation, and the trust of the users that have put them in the position they are in over the past few decades. I personally will never trust Apple again.

I called for help twice

It was an okay app. Pretty pricey compared to others, but still very easy on the eyes. The issue is I accidentally deleted my account trying to delete just the proton email. There is a message stating if you did not mean to delete your account to email them or fill out the Zendesk help form… but they never get around to it. I’m aware I can’t be the only person with support needs, but unfortunately I was pretty dependent on this app remembering my passwords and now I can’t get into anything! I do not love that for me. Wish this break up would’ve been for a different reason.

Good but still missing core capabilities

While they are making some good progress we need to be realistic, Proton Pass still isn’t competitive with some competitors.

No Safari browser extension or desktop support, lack of support for generating items like security questions, no identity support or support for things like ssh keys. There’s a way to go before this is really a viable replacement to other platforms.

We're also working on a macOS app. We'll document your suggestions internally to help with prioritization when implementing new features. No cards, no addresses, extra ram usage

No cards, no addresses, extra ram usage Vs bitwarden
Only extra feature is the anonymous email support
Gui animations feel slow
Feels less secure: vault doesn't autolock on desktop browsers, so it's not even locally encrypted?

Hello! Thank you for the feedback. We've shared your suggestions internally for future consideration. Could you please report these issues to us directly through the "Report a problem" feature in the app menu so we can look into this?

The only password manager you should trust.

ProtonPass is the only password manager I trust. My personal and cyber security are mutually reliant in this day and age. The same goes for all of us. If you’ve been a victim of ID theft, you know what I’m saying. Maintain or restore your peace of mind and your trustfulness, and choose ProtonPass (and their other apps, as well). You’ll then know what I mean. Subscribe to Proton directly, and not through the App Store. Remains more secure this way.
