App is barely usable

To start of, this app is way too slow, too many loading screens and at some points it just doesn’t load forcing you to force close it and try again (a good 5mins wasted just to log). The sorting of the DiM and sorting of the Digimon is just terrible, goes by some random hidden ID that makes no sense to the user. Other than that, bugs with sending Digimon. I just experienced an issue in which it took my Destromon and reverted it back to its baby form when I sent it back to the watch, while keeping all stats intact but now I am not able to transfer it back to the app. This caused me to waste items I had previously gained from the Adventure mode that I had grinded for days. Fix this absolute mess of an app, bugs and this ridiculous loading.

Horrible app being back vb labs

This app is horrendous, hate the colour scheme and can never find opponents, you could at least put bots in random matches or something that can progress rank apart from that there is nothing to interact with in this app, app is slow and leave no supposed for older models of the vital bracelet if I could put 0 stars I would, vb labs was a good starting point for the vital bracelet I really don’t know how you gone backwards with this one

Losing digimon after funishing 8 hours adventure in app

I assigned my heavyleomon in adventure for 8 hours before going to bed, and i just received some adventure reward in the morning without seeing my digimon in the app anymore.

Indecipherable

Cannot even read the text when this app loads. Unusable.

A huge downgrade from the old app

This app isn’t really good enough to be even a temporary substitute for the old one and yet it’s our permanent replacement.
Why? Why the huge downgrade?

Matches that literally never end

Characters become invulnerable and stop taking damage during some battles resulting in a never ending match. It’s really hard to find a match, and frustrating having to restart the app when this bug happens. iPhone 14.

Poor release - NO BANDAI ID Log in

Update 28/3/24 Version 2.0, what we’ve been waiting for since November. A good battle mode where we compete in raids with a type of player grouping system. Something we’ve been waiting for a while, and hopefully further updates for player frames and items will follow as rewards.
An adventure system which is new entirely where monsters are sent out for a period of time and retrieve items which is a nice little touch.
Alongside with the VB BE bracelet you can now earn items for battles which helps, that is a major update and fantastic one of that.
My rating goes from 1 ⭐️ to 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️.
The app is still loading screen heavy, and clunky at times.
Theme changes, which was a lovely neat little gimmic and personalisation on the old app.
I’ve realised the Bandai ID doesn’t do too much for me, as I still haven’t figured out if that actually backs up my Digimon’s/characters progress.

Yeah… you know what. It’s taken time… but, nice one Bandai. Keep it up.

Update 01/4/23 It is still bad. Slow, clunky and still multiple improvements over a short period of time. It was clear this app was forced out by deadlines and not tested. I’ve now stopped using the watch as the app is so poor. Bandai. Sort your stuff out, you’re tanking a very niche item which has potential. Whoever voted 5 stars clearly isn't a true reflection of the app and products history. Update 10/2/23 It’s still poor. With the various update patches and the excuse of ‘Minor bug fixes’ is appalling in description. Still long loading screens. There are no benefits still implicated in this game. I’ve got a month left to transfer my old monsters to this new app, which it doesn’t even share across watch versions for the digidex. It is actually a strenuous process trying to transfer from the old app, to the old watch, to the new app. I have two watches, one Digivice V and BE the app treats them both as separate digidexs. It feels like Bandai shoe-horned the other anime shows into one app and disregarded the Digimon users entirely. We had it good with the old app, and they took it away from us for this rubbish. Update 21/12/22 In this release there is an option to link your BANDAI ID. It does NOTHING, no data, level, characters, items or anything is transferred over. I’ve never know a company to release a new app and it be worse. (Digimon related) There is no option to transfer your Bandai ID from the old app. Meaning that the last year of my progress has been wasted, and many thousands also. This has been poorly communicated, and shoehorned into a worldwide release with little regard to informing us. The old app is to be retired in March. The user interface is clunky entirely, very slow which hasn’t seemed to change from the previous viral bracelet app. For a newer app with now, more offers of characters and a wider range of audience, there would be improvements.

Terrible substitute

If you had the VB Lab and lost all your stuff like I did don’t download this as you’ll be hugely disappointed. It rarely loads and you’re going to have to complete all your codex’s again.

Massive let down

Good concept, but horrendous execution

I wanted to love this app. I really did. But between the (numerous) technical glitches, the matchmaking issues, the crashes when using items and the REMOVAL of several QoL features from the Lab app… it’s just an all-around disappointment.

Digimon is an amazing franchise, and from the amount of fans I interact with online I imagine a lucrative one. So why Bandai doesn’t put even the bare minimum effort into their own software to support their products baffles me. Bandai, do better please.

Can’t access the app anymore.

Honestly, I was able to look past all the bugs with the app since I only used it to store my Digimon. But after transferring my Chicomon from the app back to my BE, I can no longer access it. I keep getting a “cannot access the server” error. I had other Digimon in storage to and I can’t access them anymore. Please fix this bug soon.
