Becoming to Glitchy

I have been paid out in the past and have done multiple test with success but your most recent update destroyed the apps usability. I did a play test that went smoothly, I did the mic test, then I went to check if I can do the survey and the app just refuses to load. I got to the survey through my email and finished it. The next day the play test is denied for the first time saying “my mic cut out” which is weird. I don’t understand why can’t we preview the sound before sending it in I would play for a longer period in order to make sure it works. Whats more frustrating is now I can’t even open the app to look at new play tests, it stays on a loading screen. I got an email to do a play test today and I still can’t get the app to open. No matter what WiFi I’m on it’s not working.

Wasted time

Accepted beta test for a game, downloaded beta from TestFlight. Played for over an hour, now nothing shows in the app. Went back to email for the survey link and now it says that the test is filled up already. Thanks for wasting my time.

Update - Decided to try this app again. It continues to waste my time. Recorded 30 mins of gameplay yesterday with minor issues. Recorded another 30 minutes tonight only for it to get deleted because I pulled out my headphones prematurely. I am fuming.

Error causing issues

Cannot test due to headphone check error, still not fixed. Losing out here :’(

Hi! While our development team did partially fix this issue in the last update, there are still a few people encountering it. We're working hard trying to fully fix the bug as soon as we can!

26 Hours and crashing app

I was excited. I was doing great I wanted to ignore the bad reviews but after my last play it took 26 hours (not a joke sadly) to upload my progress. Don’t blame my internet that speed was the fastest WiFi speed I’ve ever had. So 26 hours later I do my survey and play again. Now suddenly I go to open the app and it kicks me out and crashes.

Good app

It’s a great app, some companies are very particular about who they want testing so that’s everyone’s main problem but I’ve had next to no issues on getting play test. The support is great and I recommend this app to anyone who wants a chance to make a little money doing what they love

This is a scam

This is a scam for free survey answers. Unlike others who pay for your time to answer surveys, this app asks you to take lots of surveys but doesn’t pay for your time. I thought it was to collect info to set you up to play games but the games never come. It’s just constant surveys so they’re harvesting the info for free. There are plenty of others that will pay for survey info so don’t bother with this.

Update reply to developer: Really? “of course they’re not paid” that’s interesting because all others pay for screeners even if it’s only a few cents. It’s still expecting free labor and that’s gross. Compensate people for their time and info.

Hey! Every survey that is part of a playtest is paid at least 2$. If you're talking about our screener surveys (which are sent by the game developers to see if you're a good fit for their next playtest) are, of course, not paid. These ones are not part of any game research as they don't include any valuable information that game developers could actually use. If you haven't been chosen to take part in a playtest through these screener surveys, is because you're not part from the demographics the developers are looking for. I hope this makes sense. Great company and app

Been working with this company for half a decade now at least and they’ve always been very pleasant and professional. While the tests might not be constant, it’s nice to have it pop up with some extra side cash to be made. Recommend it (even if I greedily don’t want to so I can get more tests haha)

Doesn’t work

Seems like a good app but it fundementally doesn’t work, did a playtest that required me to record and play for 30 minutes, I followed all instructions and once I wen’t to hit the “stop recording” button, it displayed that I had been recording for 31 minutes. So over the minimum required. Once I had stopped recording, I got an email saying I had not met the play time needed, and I go back onto the app and it says i’ve recorded 0 out of 30 minutes!!!
Tried again, and it said 0 minutes recorded again!!! Wasted an hour of my time with no reward.

There is no test game

If you’re downloading this expecting to play a game for the application process, then beware. There is NO game. I was told that there would be a 5-minute game to play for the onboarding process, but in actuality, it was partially a flippin 30-min questionnaire. They basically just need to hear you talking most importantly about your gaming experience.

And then, when you talk about your experience exactly as you have had, they reject it as being not clear.

Hi there! It is mentioned in the welcome email that the qualification test is about our tester Code of Conduct article. The test is used to explain the rules of playtesting and to help our testers get used to how the app works. This qualification test can be as long as you make it, depending on how long you talk for - as long as the minimum requirement of 5 minutes is recorded and the steps are done, you've finished the test! If you wish to try the test again, please feel free to contact our Community team at help@playtestcloud.com and they'll look into it for you.
