Yikes!
The design and functionality of this app seems to have been developed by a 3 year old prodigy… 15 years ago. To have to activate the e-ticket and give it a 90 minute expiring timeframe is ludicrous. Come on guys!mtl2la
Horrible, your money will be gone!
Activating your ticket will give you an limited time window to use it, once that time reaches to an end. Your ticket is gone, and the only solution is to purchase another ticket. They need to come up with an update; if the ticket wasn’t use during that “activation window” to have it re activated again. Shady!Show lessCostumer Feedback
Confusing layout
Because the app seemed to indicate that I had fully used a round trip ticket that I had only used one way I bought a second one way ticket.
The app then popped up with the available part of the round trip ticket.
When I tried to get a refund for the now unnecessary second ticket which I will not be able to use in the time given I was told there is no refund on tickets.Show lessFirst time Flyaway app user
It works!
The reviews scared me, but the app works just fine. First off, you have 30 days from purchase to use the ticket. Second, you have 3 hours to use the ticket after activating, which is a pretty straightforward button that comes with a warning. Scan your activated ticket as you enter the bus. Voilà! Why overcomplicate things with an app?
This all is a huge over complication to how it used to be (I.e. simply paying for the ticket using cash or Apple Pay)
I’m in my mid-20s and usually totally open for updates in tech, but this is quite ridiculous. Turning up for the bus and then being told you have to download an app seems like the most backward thing a company could do. Is their objective to get people to ‘not’ want use the FlyAway bus, to and from the airport?Show lessPaddyBagel
Late arrival buses
Are the buses to departure was a great ride however, I was waiting 45 minutes and three buses came up all at once. One bus pulled up, and the other one was for one was near empty. The one that was near empty left. The one that stayed had only four seats left. The one that came behind that had enough room to take us, my tip for Van Nuys Flyaway you need to manage your buses a lot better during the night hours and overnight hours because my arrival pick up was extremely horrible. Passes expire in 30 days
Bought 3 passes, plans changed last minute do to work obligations. Lost $30 because I wasn’t traveling again within 30 days.
Also there is no way to see the bus schedule from the app which just seems silly. You can buy bus tickets but it can’t tell you when the bus is leaving. Not great.Dsc255
Scandalous
I love using the flyaway. Unfortunately this app is extremely unethical. The way the app is set up when you buy a pass, it activates automatically and you have 3 hours to use it. I was planning ahead and bought it before my flight so unfortunately wasted $10. Wish I read the reviews sooner. Don’t downloadShow lesssnkrsisajoke
Frustrating and confusing
Wnen I needed two tickets it offered me one without options. When I purchased one and went for another it offered me two without options. Finally I purchased three tickets instead of two and wasted $9.75 no refundable money. Very disappointed and will never use it again.plasenter
Unusable
Trying to create an account and it won’t let me add State or Primary airport, so the account cannot be finalized to use.KidzRAlright
