Seems great!

Seems really good so far! Lightweight and fast and no ads as promised. Functional without paying a dime yet.

Exactly what I was looking for

This is a beautifully designed app, both in terms of its design aesthetic and intuitive interface making it easy to use -- which is essential for keeping up with logging meals!

The developer was also quick to respond to some feedback and roll out an update, making this a no-brainer for me to switch over from another tracking app.

Very quickly became my favorite food journaling app that I’ve tried!

I don’t write many reviews. I felt compelled to write a review (Five stars!) for FitBee though for a few reasons.

One- the app just works. It’s snappy. Its UI is intuitive and everything makes sense. Nothing is hidden in places that would cause confusion.

Two- the developer is very responsive. We’ve exchanged emails about feature requests and general praise for his app. He was prompt and friendly and very receptive.

Three- FitBee tramples its competition. While other food journals will clutter their UI and lock barcode scanning behind a paywall, FitBee doesn’t do any of that. With more word of mouth (and I’ve been telling my friends about it), this app will definitely carve a huge chunk of the food journaling market share.

Kudos to the developer. Well deserved five star review. I can’t wait to see the app develop further!

Needs much improvement

This app is so cumbersome in dealing with portion sizes. For example I had 8 roasted almonds as a snack so I had to click on the 1 almond portion 8 times! And then I gave up trying to add the ingredients for a homemade lentil soup and then figuring out calories for one bowl, not to mention amount of fats. 2 tablespoons of olive oil were used but I have no idea how to calculate the amount in one bowl as I won’t know the total number of bowls the recipe produces until I finish the pot. I ended choosing McDougall’s lentil soup even though I had no idea of what its ingredients are. I could go on but I think you get the idea.

The app developer should take a look at how flawlessly Noom deals with the above. I quit Noom because of the “cute” little messages that are sent and all the psychological/informational propaganda we were supposed to follow. I simply wanted an app that I could use to track my food intake and thought Fitbee would be the answer, especially because several people recommended it on Reddit. But unfortunately, the app is such a pain to use.

Response from developer

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that you had a frustrating experience with FitBee. One of the primary goals of FitBee is to make logging frictionless and easy, so something must've gone wrong here. If you're open to it, please send us an email at hello@fitbee.app and we'd be happy to help troubleshoot the underlying issue. To log 8 almonds, you should be able to just type in a serving quantity of 8, instead of tapping a button 8 times.

BEST fitness tracker

Found this app off a coding subreddit, and the dev personally DM’d me to try it out. I’ve been using it ever since the official release, and it’s amazing seriously. No bloat, does exactly what it needs to do, easy to use. I think this is the best fitness tracker out there right now. The rest are doing too much, all i want to do is track my food and this does that. Great work

Great app but missing one feature.

Phenomenal easy app that is packed with tons of free features. The only downside is that the calories you have “banked” throughout the day/week, doesn’t automatically add up at the end of the day. This is really helpful to glance at as it comes in handy for planning for big family dinners or going out to eat. If they add this one feature, the app would be a 10/10 for me.

Great way to stay healthy

I’ve tried other food tracking apps and FitBee makes it easier than everyone else for me to stay on track. I’ve recommended it to my family and we’re keeping each other on track through our journey. Try it!

LEAGUES better than MyFitnessPal

If you want a thorough app without basic features locked behind a paywall, then this one is for you! The AI calorie guesser is by far my favorite feature on any calorie counting app as well as the FREE barcode scanner. Thanks Fitbee 🥰

Love it

Been using this app for a few days now and it’s already replaced MFP for me (which I’ve been a paid member of for 2 years). It’s so much faster and the convenience features like copying a meal from yesterday are really well thought out. My only feedback is that the nutrition fact scanning feature only works about 25% of the time for me. This is a game changing feature IMO and would make this app so much better if it worked consistently. Overall I’m very impressed with this app and I recommend it over MFP.

Great for macro counting

This is by far one of the best calorie/ macro counting apps.
There isn’t a bunch of junk ads, or articles, or other nonsense in the way.
It’s simple to use and super convenient.
10/10
