Wow!

I don’t leave reviews but envelope deserves a good 10 stars for being so seamless. After simple banks shut down I looked everywhere for a simple envelope like banking that’s easy and automated. Envelope has hit almost every check mark for me for being effortless and easy. I’m finally back to the budgeting style that works best for me without having multiple budgeting apps that complicated it for me even further. I love that the discord page for envelope is so interactive, the developers are always updating and communicating features and plans with users that make you feel like your a part of the team. Honestly the only hiccup for me is feeling like it could end like how simple banking was pulled out of nowhere. I’m really excited for the future of this banking and budgeting app that after months of testing out and putting a percentage of paycheck’s this week I’ve fully committed.

A bank for people who like to budget. Made by former Simple bank employees!

Envelope has truly transformed the way I manage my money! The budgeting feature, or “envelopes,” has made it so simple to allocate my funds, balance my budget, and even work my way out of debt. I used to struggle with the single number most bank apps show, but Envelope breaks everything down in a way that’s easy to follow and gives me full control over where my money is going.

What’s even better is that all the budgeting features, like the individual envelopes, are built directly into the app. No more needing to rely on third-party apps to manage my budget outside of my bank—it’s all in one place, which makes life so much easier!

Envelope was created by former employees of the bank “Simple,” so if you loved Simple, you’ll love Envelope even more! The user-friendly design and intuitive features really feel like an upgraded experience.

One of the standout features is their Discord channel, where you can vote on new features and even connect with the actual team behind Envelope—it’s great to feel like they’re listening to their users. Plus, the built-in savings account with a 4.55% APY is such a game changer for growing my savings effortlessly.

I can’t recommend this app enough for anyone who wants a simple and effective way to manage their money and keep track of every dollar. Envelope has made a real difference for me, and I know it would for others too!

Simple Bank Replacement I’ve Dreamed Of!

The team at Envelope is incredibly responsive, and their customer service has been outstanding. The features built into the application function, almost identically to what used to be called simple bank. The only real differences that I can identify between this product and that institution are in the names of the different sorts of features, and the fact that some features are not available. For instance, paper checks and support for multiple paychecks (as far as automation, you can absolutely receive the funds even now) would be awesome, but both appear to be on the roadmap! The team is very transparent, and communicates publicly with its entire community through various methods, leaving no room for doubt or concern. I wholeheartedly endorse this platform!

Finally a Budgeting System that’s easy to manage!

I’ve tried tons of other budgeting apps and bank accounts in the past, and I found them all way too cumbersome to use. in the end, I ended up not using them because they were such a pain. But this one eliminates all the hassle. thank you Envelope!

This has to just be a scam

I would write this zero stars if I could I found this And decided to sign up with it I figured it would be a great way to budget everything out and plan for the future but it won’t there’s a five dollar membership charge before you even get anything done. I was charged membership charge and then denied an account with them there was no reasoning behind it, there is nowhere to dispute the charge besides my bank itself. I can’t cancel the charge anything so they essentially just took five dollars for me and then that’s it there’s I’ve looked for ways to reach out to contact support. If maybe they can fix it even their own website though has nothing for it.

Perfect replacement for Simple

Simple Bank changed my life and I was in a panic when they closed up shop. I tried a handful of alternatives and Envelope is the only one that has stuck. Updates and fast and furious, and they publish a public roadmap for future releases. Couldn’t be happier.

Thank you for developing a product that helps my wife and I be a successful team with our finances.

The automation helps us budget appropriately without a lot of effort and the new chart visuals help us adjust our budget as needed.

We tried One and Ally prior to joining but each had their weaknesses.

One didn’t support joint accounts and made it difficult for us to track spending together.

Ally had joint accounts but setting up an automated budget was not straightforward and required a lot more manual time and effort to manage.

Now we’re happy to have these issues resolved and look forward to Envelope’s growth.

An absolute scam

Envelope is, without a doubt, an absolute scam. You are charged an upfront fee for the most worthless barebones fin-tech app on the market. The app offers legitimately no value, customer service is essentially non-existent and most of the positive reviews seem to be internally concocted by Envelope staff. Do you want to throw away $5 for an app that does absolutely nothing, offers no value and cannot keep your funds safe? Well, sounds like Envelope is for you. If you value your money and do not enjoy doing business with shady businesses I recommend staying away from Envelope.

Absolutely incredible

The team at envelope is solving such a cool problem. They are still early on, and it’s already so amazing. I’ve loved my experience thus far and made the switch to Envelope as my primary bank account. It is important to note that this is not a stand-alone budgeting app, this is a neo bank built around budgeting (which in my opinion makes by far the most sense if you’re trying to budget). I love the product and I love the dedication of the team to their vision. If you’re looking to budget, this is the way to do it.

For anyone that was a fan of Simple Bank back in the day, their soul lives on here.

This is a fantastic bank and product for anyone that is visual with their money and enjoys the envelope budgeting style.
