This app is awesome
I’ve used over 15 banks and all the budgeting apps to find a simple and automated way to manage finances. The thing most budgeting apps get wrong is the complexity. They build so everyone can do everything, but it makes it unmanageable. Envelope money is simple in design and allows you to easily manage your finances. I feel like someone finally got it right.

If you are not using Envelope, are you even serious about your finances?
I had never been a “personal finance” enthusiast, and honestly struggled to follow any budgeting rules and everything was a hassle. Envelope has seriously changed my life. My wife and I both love this app, especially as a young married couple somewhat inexperienced with managing money. This bank makes it SO EASY to even be excited about budgeting. It keeps blowing my mind, and it just gets better with every update. I love Envelope so much, give it a try!

Best Fintech Bank!
When Simple shut down, I had nowhere to go for a bank with powerful budgeting tools. One was ok, but never felt quite right and went down the drain the moment Walmart bought them out. Enter Envelope. This app is SLICK! It feels like the natural evolution of what Simple gave us all those years ago. Simple to use, even simpler to budget. The devs are very active and are adding great features all the time. It’s rare a fintech app gets better and better with time. If you’re looking to move from a traditional bank or your online bank isn’t quite cutting it, Envelope is the right call!

Envelope is the greatest banking experience I've had
I'm a former user of Simple Bank - they were amazing, but closed down after a couple years. Then I moved to One Finance - they had features similar to Simple, but after another year or two, One Finance sold out to Walmart and TOTALLY changed. It was awful. Then out of no where, I found this beta project. I've now been with Envelope since the day they had a public release. I'm part of their discord, and the team is constantly updating, asking opinions, crowdsourcing features, etc. Envelope is going places, and I REALLY hope they don't sell out like One finance did. Keep up the great work!!

You’ll actually use this app!
Just started using Envelope, but after using traditional banks, YNAB, and Zeta. My wife and I have tried a lot of things and have seen what overly complicated is. The Envelope app team has made is enjoyable to use, and that's saying something. It's so simple and sleek and has little fun animations in it. Thanks for making something so amazing, I'm already telling friends and family about this app!

Poor Customer Support & Communication
Yikes. I feel terrible writing but Envelope has continuously ignored me on several occasions. I first gave them the benefit of doubt and played ball with their alleged technical problems. But my latest email took nearly three weeks to receive a response. Lastly, they are doing a poor job communicating general changes! They rarely email and require you to read all the Discord messages.

So sorry this happened to you! Your ticket got marked as "closed" somehow and got lost. Totally our bad, and really not how we want anyone to experience support issues. We've relied on Discord pretty heavily during our beta, and your feedback totally makes sense. We're reworking everything in Feb 2024 so we will now post all product announcements to a central blog and then the announcements will be sent to email (you can unsubscribe anytime) + Reddit + Discord.

Since the closure of Simple, a moment I'd describe as the most disheartening in my financial journey, my partner and I have been on a quest for the ideal financial management solution. We experimented with One, which was effective but didn’t quite meet my budgeting needs.
Then we discovered Envelope Money. It's been a revelation. The app is user-friendly and robust, making financial management a breeze. The customer support team has been exceptional, providing timely and helpful assistance.
What really sets Envelope apart is their dynamic approach to feature updates. They actively engage on social media, maintaining a close connection with their user base – who might as well be considered fans at this point! I find myself increasingly invested in Envelope's approach to managing finances. It's almost like experiencing the efficiency of envelope budgeting all over again, reminiscent of what I cherished about Simple.

The new Simple
This is the first bank I’ve find that successfully fills the void left by the void of Simple. The team behind this is excellent. I’m able to save with ease and quickly see how much I have available to spend.

It was only one review but to future users: This is a FINTECH BANK. If you’re not looking for a bank with an envelope budgeting system, this bank is not for you so don’t be rating it poorly because you can’t understand what it is. Now onto the review:

I have had many banks including Simple and One which, if you had them, you know how badly we got burned. So jumping into another fintech wasn’t an easy decision but I cannot tell you how happy I was to have made the jump! This bank is built on community feedback and are committed to transparency and customer satisfaction. It is unlike any other banking experience I’ve ever had. As a neurodivergent person, an envelope system is integral to my financial success. The founders of Envelope Money have been consistently communicative and dedicated to app improvement since day one. I don’t know how they do it! I am thankful for have found EM and I hope traditional banks take note and learn a thing or two!
