Leave a Review Sunbeam Bedding S2
Hideous
They took a simple app I needed for a single device and updated it to include dozens of devices with multiple categories and no way to easily search for my device type. Instead I have to select a category then scroll through the devices listed.
Now the device won’t pair because pairing is timing out.
I’m less likely to buy any device from Sunbeam in the future.Show lessGoing to be as fair as possible
Pros:
- The app does connect easily to my blanket.
- I can control the temperature sometimes which is nice.
- The app has an acceptable look and style.
Cons:
- The schedule doesn’t work.
- When the schedule turns on the blanket it is not the correct temperature/ duration
- can’t increase the temperature past 4 without pressing a button on the physical controller which mitigates the value of having an app.Show lessGlitchy and confusing
This app is entirely glitchy and difficult to navigate. I am genuinely struggling even after almost a solid year of trying to use this app. It’s awful and should have been designed better for a massive company.Cannot set timer.
The app worked at first. Now I cannot set the timer. So I wake up sweating and have to unplug it. I would think it would be a safety hazard.Works Great!
Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. The app works as intended and I haven’t had any issues at all.App works about 40% of the time
Often when I launch the app, the power “buttons” are greyed out and nonresponsive. When that happens, the only way to turn the bedding on is to walk over to the wired controller and press the actual power button. Not even rebooting the app works. So then what is the point of having an app? I wanted to be able to turn it on from anywhere in the house so that when I climb into bed it’s already warm. No bug fixes in site. Super disappointing. I’d recommend using a different brand with a better app.Show lessPeople complain about safety features!
Everyone complaining about the inconvenience of having to press the button when you operate it remotely must not care about their safety. The instructions clearly spell out what they call the “presence” feature. In other words you have to tell the system, “yes, I’m here”. It’s for your safety! Since you can activate the blanket from anywhere that your phone has internet, it doesn’t know if you are in the house, or pre-heating your blanket before you get home. Imagine if your plans changed, and you forgot about your blanket. You certainly don’t want it running on High for 10 hours!!! So for your safety, if you turn it on remotely and don’t confirm your presence within an hour (more than enough time to preheat!) it while kick down to level 4 - still very warm!
Quit your complaining!Show lessUseless
I am afraid that this app does not perform any function that it promises. Perhaps if I devote several hours to learning its idiosyncrasies,
I might have more success, but I didn’t pay a premium price for an app that frustrates me every time I try to use it.App must be a minimal viable product
I’ll make this short because the software testers should have been able to provide constructive feedback prior to go live. This app is very confusing, not intuitive at all, and looks pretty amateur for a very reputable company. Plus it wanted me to switch to my 2.4GHz network? It seems to be still working after I switched back. Let me count the ways not to do an app starting with this one.
Please make it easier!Show lessApp is nice addition
I had purchased the non-Wi-Fi version (originally I did not think it was necessary), but Walmart substituted it. It took less than five minutes to scan the QR code, download the app and connect the blanket. It functions great and glad I got the substitution.
