  • A more annoying version of the iPhone calendar

Have yet to find any meaningful improvements using this app over just the standard iPhone calendar. I put in my activities the same way there as I do on Day Flow. The AI “assistant” is comically worthless, providing nothing but generic information for my tasks and simply delaying adding tasks to the calendar while it takes time to essentially do a Google search for information I don’t need or care about. There’s an “inbox” feature to add unscheduled tasks to…but no way to easily transfer them to the calendar. When there’s open space on your calendar the AI “assistant” prompts you to add activities to it, which would be an excellent place for it to suggest the unscheduled activities in your inbox, but nope. Just more useless suggestions of generic tasks.

Overall this app is a complete waste of money that I’m genuinely irritated I got swindled into paying for. Save yourself and just use the iPhone calendar. It’s the same thing, probably easier honestly.

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way, Smallhoss. Your feedback is valuable, and we understand your frustrations. We have an update coming soon that will improve the AI’s ability to suggest tasks from your inbox. We’re dedicated to enhancing the app and hope you’ll give us another chance in the future!
  • Like it

I like the concept don’t know how to make it actually alert me I turned on notifications in the app settings as well as my actual phone settings and I don’t get any sound notifications or a pop up I have to open the app to see if I have anything planned. I paid for 1 month hoping it would get better and nothing changed. I do like that with the subscription I can schedule more on repeat now. Canceled my membership until I can figure out the notifications part of it.
  • Add to App Ideas

I love this app I would pay more for an option to allow AI to verbally read our task out loud. Also have the ability to take a picture of a schedule and organize it into our daily schedule and be able to alert you when times overlap. These ideas are coming from a true adult with ADHD plus a learning disability, having the reminders not only notify us but read it out loud Ex hey at 2 you have to go to the store. This is my personal assistant I use daily.

  • Helps increase stress levels

My disclaimer is that I have a 2-year-old, a 7-year old, as well as a class of high-maintenance Stanford undergrads who I teach. My .time is never uninterrupted.
So far, day flow feels like another needy person. Dayflow, I just installed you, and today, you told me I had 8 overdue tasks - one of which was installing your app. Except , I obviously just did that!. Are you gaslighting me, dayflow?
But My main complaint is that if i speak to you, i must hold an invisible button, to let you know that im speaking. (God forbid my toddler speaks, sings or asks for Bluey) this, So you can slowly transcribe my comments. I watch your white blobs think, like pixelated sands of time. You’re far slower than my typing on my phone one handed while holding the toddler, stirring dinner, and with the other hand , writing an old fashioned to do list on the Back of an envelope on the kitchen counter. What’s the improvement of this over Apple notes, which has excellent voice recognition? You don’t even know you’ve been installed . Sayonara, Dayflow. I’m keeping my envelope and #2 pencil for now

  • First Impression from a UX Designer

The app is definitely useful but could improve the onboarding experience to be less overwhelming. As someone with ADHD, it’s difficult to read the animated text and it’s also just not necessary. The same thing could be conveyed just with a list, a few words, and maybe some visuals like emojis or color/border effects to highlight specific things for impact.
The preloaded home page is also really overwhelming and text heavy when a short visual walkthrough that’s skippable (and revisit-able) could say a lot more with fewer words. In the end, I ended up deleting all the preset tasks. Also, I was confused if I was on a trial or not because the onboarding allowed me to pick repeatable tasks but that ended up being a premium-only feature… which is quite expensive.

For some additional features, it would be nice to be able to sync my Google Calendar or Notion calendar. I have my own workaround to do this, but I can see the average user giving up since it takes a bit of effort.

Secondly, I feel that the layout is mainly focused on viewing upcoming tasks when I would prefer to use this as my only calendar as my main calendar for my phone (since macOS/PC/web support doesn’t exist). Having a monthly view would greatly improve this experience.

Thank you for your detailed first impression, Amanda! Your insights as a UX designer are incredibly valuable. We're taking note of your suggestions for improving the onboarding experience to make it more accessible, especially for users with ADHD. Simplifying the home page and clarifying the features available in the free versus premium versions are on our list of enhancements. Additionally, we're looking into integrating Google Calendar in near future. We appreciate your feedback and are committed to making these improvements to enhance the usability of our app.
  • A solid work in progress

Update: one month in. A great start to an AI enhanced scheduling app and getting better every time!! You are investing in potential with this app - it is very functional now and is just scratching the surface of the potential of AI for time management. The developers are very active, listen to feedback and are adding features and functionality regularly. In fact they addressed my largest issues with the app in a month! Lots of pluses: Adding single and multiple tasks and events using the voice command works well most of the time and the app suggests times and task lengths to block out my schedule. It adds life hacks to each task and emojis too. It has a simple clean UI and simple settings, a voice search, voice rescheduling and general AI information. Minuses: calendar syncing is weird (duplicates and doesn’t update tasks); really needs a standard task search; really needs a web or MacOS/PC app; ability to mark calendar events as busy or not to allow tasks to fill in if not busy; Siri integration; could benefit from AI generated task snooze options; additional UI appearance options; etc.

  • Happy with Day Flow but still want more!

I’ve been really enjoying using the Day Flow app to help organize my daily tasks. It’s great, but I think it could be even better with one small tweak. If there was a way to set locations for tasks, the app could figure out travel times between them, which would be super helpful. Right now, it kind of guesses the travel times, but being able to set them myself would make planning my day a lot smoother. Other than that, this app is a lifesaver for anyone who finds making a to-do list tricky. Highly recommend!
  • Task master

Wow I've been through so many task and reminder apps and this one is something very special! the fact that you can just tell it your task and goals and it will calculate them for you atomically is unbelievable and well worth the money spent for the plus version! highly recommend this task app its insanely great

  • Day Flow +Plus & My ADHD

Day Flow +Plus had taken my ADHD life & organized the first week after I purchased the full-blown version and made what’s taken me 10 years and hundreds of tasks to figure out how to organize them and scheduled everything in a way, with my own personalized categories to finally see my way into accomplishing tasks that I’ve been fighting with for way too long. Well, I can’t say enough here now, except that the hair on my arms are starting to stand up. Thank you for Day Flow +Plus. I purchased the full-blown version after trying it for a week and though I wasn’t going to do it because I thought it was too much money, but now I know the developers are worth paying for there efforts. I was a software testing engineer for over 20 years and search for a product like this for most of my life. Thank you so much for all of your efforts. Gregg in Utah
