Hours of delight
This was simply everything special and fun one could hope for. The details were so good, and the variety of activities was unreal. I know I won’t be able to find this kind of satisfaction from an advent again, which is the only bad thing about it. BRAVO JacquieL's Handqua4rters
Could not download
Despite paying for these and contacting the company l could not download the calendar or games even after trying to log in. I just kept getting “trying to log you in”,. Nothing happened despite trying different ways to download. Disappointing because l enjoy the advent calendar and the games.consultant J
Not as good
This is the third advent calendar I have purchased. It’s nice but not as good as last year’s - thank goodness that could be reset so I could do it again.
There are glitches in two of the games which I have found frustrating.
Will buy next year but would like to see newer games pleaseAstmas
Wonderful Advent Calendar
This is lovely advent calendar for all ages. Some games or activities need a little more skill and time to do them properly but really anyone can do it. This app is visually very appealing and almost puts you at peace when interacting with it. I enjoy it every year. Some may enjoy certain years more than others but the fact that they create a brand new world every year is a good thing and keeps you coming back. My 7 year old boy enjoys this app and I make him turn the music up when he is playing on it. It’s the only app he plays on that I LOVE the music. So cheery yet tranquil.Show lessAshAnnOlson
Very Disappointing!
This calendar is disgusting. I added the update because the first video - bringing in the tree never played right. After the update that was to fix problem, none of the daily videos opened. All I get is that infernal circle spinning around. No matter how you tap to start, circle just keeps going round and round. I hope the creator reads this because it is difficult to write to them on their web site.👎👎👎Show lessPorcelainista
Expensive, but 1000% worth it!
$8 is a bit steep for an advent calendar app, but what you get definitely justifies that price tag! This is one of the most beautiful and well thought out apps I’ve ever seen in the App Store. It’s easy to see that an insane amount of effort was put into it: for the art, the music, the mini games, the level of customization, the history, and so on. There’s so much to do and it really helps me put aside the concerns of the day and get into the Christmas spirit for as long as I’m using the app. This app is in another stratosphere compared to the other advent calendar apps on the App Store. Boring
I have all of the Jacquie Lawson Advent calendars and I’m sad to say that I find this one very bland.
I also purchased it to send to my youngest grandchildren - I think it will not interest them as much as last years Sussex Advent calendar would have done.
Also, the animals are much too easy to find - last years gnomes were tricky little things to search out.
So sorry guys, I can see a lot of work has gone into it, but it most certainly lacks the “wow” factor.Show lessChris0247
Still love it but…..
I still love this particular brand of advent calendar but when advertises what we can do based based on illustrations & doesn’t deliver its a bit dishonest for example today it shows we can design our own tapestry and we look to see how it works and it doesn’t deliver the promise that we can create own that’s as it shows in the illustration on the website that’s definitely misleading although the app is beautifully Illustrated it is a bit disappointing in conclusion make that promise that the app will do as implied regardless of the device we useShow lessMiklichfam
Beautiful, British, Wintery, not very advent or engaging
No magic to this one, and very, very little holiday spirit. The scene is artistic but not engaging. The animals you find every day are beautifully drawn but not “holiday.” Hope it’s more Fezziwig and less Scrooge next year. Love it for the graphics but with no shops it’s overall cold and stoic. (Edwardian shops started the holiday store window decorations.) This one (to paraphrase CS Lewis) is winter with very little Christmas.Show lessNYC1564
