Precise and Efficient Device

The Plaud device has become a part of my daily routine. I take it to all my meetings to serve as my note taking assistant. I used to write pages and pages of notes. Now I let Plaud do the work and it doesn’t skip a beat! It creates better notes than I could have ever taken on my own. Plaud captures the entire meeting, sorts into an amazing layout, and fills the gaps of any missing info using AI technology. I can’t live without my Plaud! Highly recommend it if you have lots of meetings and lots of notes to take.

Works better than promised

I use this device for meetings all the time it is freaky how well it transcribes and makes summary’s

When I show colleagues they are blown away

You could never take as detailed or accurate of notes as fast as this can. Even with distractions or background noise it’s not very often I need to amend the notes

Thank you

This will be a game changer for me.

I normally have to have an assistant listen and takes notes on what to do. With Plaud, I can record, reorder tasks, send to appropriate parties with about 1/5 of the time that these processes usually take.

Game changer

Seamless device, making interviewing easy. Needs to link to DropBox or OneDrive. Transcription needs more precision but pretty good. Perfect companion for research interviews

Response from developer

Thank you for the suggestion. We will enhance the integration capabilities in the upcoming product iterations. The accuracy of transcription is a key performance metric that we are very focused on, and we will continue to optimize it.

Really impressed

Excellent hardware and equally important excellent application, I would rate the accuracy at 99% occasionally I’ve noticed a few seconds of transcription not picked up, however all and all, if you have lots of meetings where having a quick summary would be helpful, it will be worth it. I’ve even lent it to my girlfriend for her lectures and I’ve been so impressed that in the mind maps, it’s able to identify “participant asked..” I’ve been able to cancel my online transcription services , lastly people have been saying you can have ChatGPT transcribe, which isn’t totally true, you need a special ChatGPT engine which isn’t available via ChatGPT, meaning if I upload the wav or mp3 it will not be able to transcribe. That said, you can further upload your summaries, transcriptions and mind maps to use ChatGPT in conjunction; my girlfriend was able to use her summary, transcript and mind map to create a HTML webpage with multiple choice questions. This is a game changer for anyone that needs calls recorded and or meetings. I’ve since bought a 2nd one as a present. I guess I’ve bought some good hardware but only for a junk iOS app, this is excellent both on hardware side and software and I just hope they continue to maintain. Kudos and applause to Plaud!

Concept is Awesome/Delivery is meh!

Conceptually this solves all the note taking problems I will ever face, but in the end it gives you an endless list of bullet points that make note summaries hard to digest. On top of that, you run into lots of work when trying to transfer the output to another program like MS Word for editing. The ChatGpt to Word transfer distorts the text into garbage that takes WAY TOO MUCH work to fix! Nice try!

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback. Regarding the summarization feature, we attach great importance to whether the quality of the summaries is satisfactory to users, and we will continuously optimize the summary templates. We expect further template upgrades in the near future, and we welcome you to try it out again then. Regarding the export to Word function, we will be releasing a new version soon that will greatly optimize the exported docx format, making it easier for users to edit. We appreciate your input and will continue to work hard to improve the user experience. Please feel free to provide any additional feedback as we strive to make our note-taking solution better.

This is life changing

I have DID, which is dissociative identity disorder meaning I have several alters or parts. With this device I can capture each Part’s thoughts and have it more organized so that I can eventually write a book and start a pod cast explaining what life with DID is like.

Game changing combo

The Plaud recorder and this app have in tandem changed the way I get my thoughts from my brain into reality. I occasionally use it for meetings and phone calls as it is mostly advertised, but the vast majority of use is completely personal. The ability to start recording with the start of a physical button and have it be transcribed and summarized by AI is something I have BEGGED for constantly over the last decade. This is without a doubt the best product I have ever encountered for that purpose.

Let me be clear. There are some issues with Plaud. The cost is quite high. The charger is obscure and hard to source if lost. It sometimes takes a couple tries to get recordings going.

But as a whole, if you are like me and desperate to get fleeting thoughts from your head into your phone with as little friction as possible, there is simply nothing superior to Plaud available. I hope to see updates in the future which improve the software, firmware, and app-side of this tool. Until then, I will be a power user of this life-changing resource.
