  • Really bad transcriptions in Spanish

    I know, and I understand the principal language for transcriptions is English, but because Plaud relies on openAI tech, l thought this process would be more accurate, There are a lot of nonsense words, in the transcription process. I lost my confidence in Plaud looking for another company, and services.
  • Great hardware, app leaves a lot to be desired

    The device has a great look/feel/build quality, and the audio sounds clear and crisp. That said, the app leaves a lot to be desired — most importantly, the AI summaries. When compared to the generative AI capabilities of analogous tools like FathomAI or OpenAI’s GPT-4 (by copy/pasting Plaud’s transcription to summarize) — Plaud’s AI capabilities fall far short of expectations.

    Fortunately, that’s fixable, and while probably more expensive to provide newer, better, faster LLM models — I’d be willing to pay more to get AI summaries on par with the apps previously mentioned.

    I’m cautiously optimistic that the app will improve over time, and while I’m happy with the purchase and can use a copy/paste to ChatGPT approach for now, I wouldn’t yet recommend purchasing to a non early adopter type… yet.
  • No Transcription

    Recorded my first meeting and depended on this to take my meeting notes. Well, it’s stuck in an uploading phase and has been for hours. No idea what to do.

  • Awesome!

    Put this on my phone and watched a short YouTube video to test it out. Woke awesome. The transcription and summary were organized and spot on. Can’t wait to put this to the test in meetings.

  • Potential, but not yet realized

    A friend once told me “you can’t fall in love with potential.”

    This is a good case of that—there’s a long way to go before this product is ready for real world use. I’m hopeful it gets there, but it’s not terribly useful at the moment; particularly considering the cost to transcribe.

  • Another kickstarter “scam”

    Both the app and physical device do not work as advertised.
    Not worth it. Save your money

  • Not where it needs to be

    With as much time as they had to make the app, it should have been a lot better.

    There’s no action items section and the summaries are poor. The most recent call I had summarized all the banter/small talk in the first 5 mins of the call and ignored the remainder of the call which was most critical.

    I’ve lost faith in the product and it’s way too far from where it should be.
