Previous app is still more useful
I still don’t know what this new app does that the old one didn’t or isn’t still superior at.
Can’t view a route and filter to just those active buses, both of which were very useful functions.
Seems to struggle to remember the active trip, forcing me to tell it over and over again my start and end points.

Much worse than previous app
I have no idea how Lothian Buses managed to make this app so bad. The old version was pretty good, with some small improvements it would have been perfect, but they have ripped out all the good features and made this one painful and time consuming to use. The signs at the bus stops are useless now, so I can only assume that for consistency they thought they must make the app just as bad.

Fantastic App
As a tourist in town this app has been amazing, found it before we travelled so had pre purchased our airport bus tickets and could easily see when we arrived the time of the next bus. Great for finding a service on a whim when the feet had walked enough!
Saving my favourite stops
I have to sign in to save my stops...!!

I thought with this app having tracking as well it would be great.
I have to sign in even if I want to add a bus stop whilst traveling.!
Useless...!
Is that just another information gathering exercise...not helpful to anyone who used this app on only one device....
There has to be another way to cater to that minority.
Whomever designed this app does not travel on public transport and has never used a bus app and is never likely to either.!
I want an app which does not involve signing in or anything else other than to be downloaded....sort this please.!!

New version
Don’t know why they changed it from the old one. This one is so clunky, used to be able to view routes in app, now it takes you to an external browser. Having to choose where you’re starting your journey each time may seem trivial but the old app used to take your current location, and if you wanted to you could change it. The times of the buses aren’t in order, with sooner buses appearing sometimes later down the list. Just an overall bad app, please fix this or bring the old one back!

Ridiculously difficult to activate a ticket
Twice in the last few days I’ve had to buy a second ticket because the new app requires an internet connection to activate a ticket. The old one didn’t and was more suitable for people that can’t afford umpteen GBs of data. I won’t be buying app tickets anymore, the WiFi connection on the bus isn’t powerful enough to successfully activate the ticket so if you’re out of data then you can’t use your tickets, stupid thing to do to a previously perfectly functional app.

Absolutely unusable compared to the other one
This app is shocking. I accidentally deleted the old app only to find out the hard way that I couldn’t get it back at all. This new app is ridiculous and absolutely useless with even less features than the old one somehow and has been designed by someone who has clearly never used a bus in their life. Bring back the old one please, there are useless features on this app, 3 of the 4 tabs I will never use in my life, and nowhere that displays simple bus tracking for your local area - I don’t care where the buses are, more where the actual stops are or when the bus is due and the UI is abysmal. Disgraceful.

Very Confusing prices
The app it say 2 pound a ticket for 1 trip when I get in the buss the driver is telling me you need to pay more.. Even that I never change the buss...
Would be nice to give you exact price for each distance not making you buy a 2 pound and then pay extra..

Truly awful. Lothian Buses - please get rid of this app
Clearly this app has been developed by someone who doesn’t use buses in Edinburgh, and has never looked at the existing Lothian Buses app. The existing app is great: when you open it, it shows you times for the closest bus stop - perfect if you’re in a rush. In this app, you have to hunt for the stop and open it - a real step backwards.
Worse than that though, if you want to save a favourite stop, you have to create an account and sign in. Why? What possible need is there for an account just to store your favourite stops? It seems like a needless invasion of privacy.
Lothian Buses, please get rid of this app.

In my opinion this is a better app than the original one also have the option to purchase tickets
