Hammerhead Companion app not working with karoo2= Extrêmement décevant

Love the product but not the App
I was extremely impressed with how well and quickly the Karoo paired with my third party components. I don’t like how the only way to assess the ride data is through Strava which does not always provide the most accurate depictions or go as in depth of the workout. I think that this is something that the app would be better utilized for. The details that Wahoo provides is impressive and something that is very replicatable.
Why have all these things on my display if I can’t see any of it afterwards?

Brand new K2 not supported
Seriously, no support for the K2 I bought a couple months ago? Setting up for the first time for a 7 day bike-packing trip and already no app support. Pretty good way to loose SRAM customers!
Not ready for market
Point 1 - no good that the Karoo 2 isn’t included. I had one. Whoever heard of a unit not having the hardware for the app?!?
Point 2 - having now bought the 3 (primarily for the improved battery life but also the app) I discovered just how early the app is. Hammerhead are taking agile to the edge. The ux is non existent. So much so I thought I was doing something wrong. I contacted support to say I have connected but nothing happens. After the normal back and forth I realised it’s more like a dedicated link between your device than an app as they sent me links to instructions. It does almost nothing and you do most of it on the device.
It’s really really basic. It should be labelled early beta. I am sure hammerhead will produce a great app in time but rookie mistakes (karoo2 compatibility and the ‘non’ app).
Hammerhead I am still a convert from wahoo and I love love love my unit but not great.

Another hacked off K2 user
Yes, I like the K2, but it’s despicable that the phone app only connects to the new “Karoo”.
And it’s double despicable since we already know the K2 is bluetooth capable and Hammerhead can release software updates on the fly.
Note to SRAM marketing knobs, this ISN’T the way to build customer loyalty.

Total fail not to allow legacy Karoo 2
This is shocking that we finally have companion app and it dosnt work with legacy Karoo 2’s. I had hope this would fix heart rate data to Apple health but looks like have to look at alternatives
Worthless K2 and app
Completely useless K2 now that they’re K3 is out. I re-downloaded the app only to find it has nothing for the K2 I just spent $500 six months ago.
Then my PW stopped working and now I can’t log in to website. Though the site keeps telling me it’s sending me an email to reset my PW, nothing arrives. Nothing in spam either.
I’m so frustrated with the whole system I think Im going to take the loss and get a Garmin like the rest of the TDF followers in my group are using.
SRAM should be ashamed of this technical mess. It is everything BUT user friendly.

Karoo 2 doesn’t connect
I was so excited to see that Hammerhead finally had an iOS app. To my disappointment this only works with the Karoo 3 apparently, not the Karoo 2 that I bought for $400 just six months ago. Since I won’t be throwing away my basically new K2 any time soon, this app is useless. Hopefully they will make it compatible and I’ll be changing this review in the near future. Still like my K2 though.

Only latest Karoo supported.
This is an absolutely a garbage strategy. Disrespectful to customers to say the least.
And folks with latest version now seems like will also be left behind when the new karoo comes up...

Lost support for my Karoo2
I’ve been with Karoo since the beginning, 1st the big TV Screen Karoo then Karoo 2. Now an auto update to the app makes it useless for my Karoo2.
Dumb decision SRAM!
