My 12th bad review for this app…
I have no idea how an app meant for security of all things as unreliable as this is even allowed on the App Store. It has been completely abandoned by the developers and they don't care about the customers at all. I could type all of the issues i have had with the app, on IOS, and pc, but why bother if the developers don't care. Do your du-diligence and report the developers/app to help make the App Store a place with reliable applications we can actually trust for our protection! The app will say “motion detected” then i tap on it and it loads to only %90 every time. For an app of this age to have this many problems on a brand new security system and a brand new iPhone and PC is a crystal clear sign of failure. Stopped working when I needed it the most
I have an error message on my phone screen. Cameras are all black & not visible. Error message reads “The device is offline. Please check the power and network “.
We’ve had Danale for a few years now with minor to no issues, workable…. The live video onset does take a while to populate…
But, within the last MONTH we’ve had absolutely no connection (viewable from cellphone) so I know it’s not an internet thing. Especially because when the cameras are viewed from from our TV; it shows some camera activity and cuts to black.
I’ve looked to see if maybe I missed an update but - nothing.
I want to give this app and system more stars- but if it’s not working when you need it to, I can’t. Hopeful a CSR will see this and help fix the bug issue.Show less@JLJ7
Worst app! Lousy customer service!
This app is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. Gave me problems from the start. Now it doesn’t connect to my cameras. The app shows the cameras are in the network when it scans for them but it will not connect to them. I tried to reach out to the developer and never heard back. Their trouble ticket form is a joke. You fill out all the info they request and then it gets lost in cyber space. Developer doesn’t stand by their product. It’s no wonder they get such low ratings.Show lessMA771958
Video Playback Issues
I’ve used this service for years! As of this year, I started seeing blank events (missing recordings) or non playable video events.
Randomly the app would close (crash) while trying to play back recorded videos. And for a while I could not play any of my recorded events. When I select a video to play, the app would buffer (show a spinning white spinning circle) forever! And of course nothing plays.
I’ll stick to using my pc to capture and store my content. I have more options using a 3rd party application. Which also allows recorded events to be emailed as a clips, stills, and slides. Plus it offers remote data retrieval.Show lessTri993r Stick3r
Smonet security camera bad for us
We bought the 8 camera 8 channel system at least 2 years ago set up a few cameras to test the system, was able to see images but could never get it to record or get notifications or anything else that would make it useful or worthwhile. Does the job.
Came as the default choice by camera company. Ive been using it since early 2020. No insurmountable issues.. normally a total close and reopen sorts out missing zoom facility.
Would like to see a speed control on the PTZ and some presets but it does what i want it to do.JulianPearson

Please avoid any cctv camera app that rely on this app. You will not believe it. The app completely can’t find my camera. I have spent over £300 on them. I can’t believe why apple even allow them to in the store. I hope someone start suing apple store over this app for making them buy the camera.
Apple, please please take this app down immediately. This app is so misleading. Does not event works after using for few month. My cctv camera does not even connect between the app. I’m so mad that even if there way I can contact someone to sue them.Show lessArif343
Do not pay for cloud storage
This app is the worst app I’ve ever used in my entire life. Previously I wanted to check my camera for an event that occurred outside of my recording time. I wasn’t able to view it because it deleted the recording after certain amount of time. So I decided to pay for cloud storage $6.99 only to find out that I can only record one camera out of my six cameras that are on my house because they only support one camera recording.Show lessKennyg252
App doesn’t work with 5g network
Tried resetting, reinstalling but no luck on 5g network (iPhone 13 Pro) which defeats the purpose.
It works fine on 4g network iPhone X.Yogi:D
