  • Exercise Accountability

I’ve been using the Freeletics app on and off for the past ten years since starting exercise with Lenny, one of my best friends. We were fascinated by the God workouts on the app and loved doing the Aphrodite.

While the app still has room for improvement, it has come a long way since its inception. Still, nothing quite compares to Freeletics in providing flexible yet consistent workout training programs.

  • A Complete Disregard for Customer Loyalty and Professionalism

Extremely disappointed! You invest in a program, only to find out it doesn’t even belong to you in the end. I barely completed a week of workouts from a 3-month plan when Freeletics canceled my coach! Due to health issues, I couldn’t continue, and they refused to understand. All I’m asking is to get back the program I PAID for. After 6 years of loyalty to this app, this is how they treat their customers? Offering me a 30% discount on something I already purchased is insulting.

To make matters worse, their employee didn’t take my complaint seriously at all. Instead of helping, she just deleted my account, causing me to lose all my progress and efforts from the past 6 years. Completely unprofessional. On top of that, three people signed up for a subscription because of my recommendation! Despite providing their email addresses and names, Freeletics won’t acknowledge them because they didn’t use the referral link. Now that they have over a million followers, they’ve lost all respect for their users. After all the money I’ve spent, this is beyond frustrating. I want nothing more to do with this app!

  • Great app but not the end all be all

I’ve been using FL consistently for 8 years. I’ve always loved the variety, the intensity, and not having to come up with my own training regimen. Recently I’ve noticed a drop off in the intensity bit, slowly over the last couple of years, and I don’t feel I’m progressing the same as I used to. Partially that is due to my own involvement, of course. I’m going to keep using FL for the HIIT training and variety, which is super fun, but I’m considering adding in a dedicated strength program as well. FL can provide this, but at the exclusion of being prescribed HIIT routines as well. If you’re interested in strength training or power lifting, you may look elsewhere. If you’re looking for overall fitness, and doing some really challenging exercises, with the ability to tailor things on the fly to suit your situation or how you’re feeling on any given day, Freeletics is phenomenal.

  • Useful but limited and no support

Freeletics is good - as long as it’s the only training or sport that you do. But if you want to do other training as well, such as a different type of cardio, or to integrate it alongside other sports, it’s not really possible. it doesn’t take account of workouts done outside Freeletics when tracking your progress within the app. So for example, I cycle instead of running for injury reasons, but there is no way for the app to recognise that instead of its recommended runs. Also, when looking for help, you’re just directed to the user community – there’s no way of getting help directly from the developers. So fine as long as you are happy to work within its constraints, but not great at being part of an overall approach to sport and fitness.

  • Nutrition

Hi, I didn’t get my nutrition, but I paid for it
  • App feels stale

Used to love the app but honestly it’s lagging behind. It can be buggy and they haven’t had any innovation in the app for years. I still use it for working out. But the workout plans could be planned better, they could have more variety of workouts, and the metrics provided are pretty useless.
  • Tons of bugs

It’s seems like every other update crashes the app. When I move between workouts the app completely freezes
  • My favourite exercise app by a country mile!

I’ve now been a paid Freeletics member for almost 8 years, and just pulled the trigger on a lifetime subscription - I can absolutely vouch for the positive impact this system has had on my health and fitness!

I’ve also used almost all of the (free and paid) at-home calisthenics/HIIT apps, as well as a few run coaches, and nothing I’ve encountered combines the no-nonsense design and adaptability of Freeletics, while also offering equivalent training journeys (which make it easier to stick to a plan).

If I’m sick or on holiday somewhere or want to run, a couple of clicks and the workout is automatically changed! Amazing.

If you commit to Freeletics for 6-12 months, buy a nice yoga mat, chin up bar and some comfy workout gear (sleep in you gear each night if it makes it easier!)… When you wake up each morning, jump straight out of bed and bang out a Freeletics workout before doing anything else - results are basically guaranteed!

  • Promotion doesn’t work

I received a promotion advertised but when I subscribed based on the add I found that it charged me full price and could not find any help or support to return.
