  • Not worth it if your trying to gain muscle

Overall it’s not a bad concept for an app, but it worth noting that if you’re trying to make some serious gains I would not recommend buying this app. First thing, the “coach” just refers to the app and no actual person is helping you. It’s kind of strange though because after each exercise you get the chance to write down how you’re doing with your work out, putting up this facade that somebody is actually taking into consideration how you’re doing with each exercise. What’s actually happening is that you’re rating whether or not an exercise is difficult and then the app calculates whether or not to give you more reps after the second week. Second to that, the exercises are actually really lame and basic. My first week athletic assessment legit had me doing 5 knee push ups (aka girl push ups) as a whole work out!!!

  • Love it!!!

I love it so far. Very flexible, so many workout options, I didn’t like a few workouts so changed my coach and love it now. Exercise options if too hard, you choose the days that you can workout, you choose if you have equipment or if you wanna do just a body weight workout. I bought the nutrition package as well but don’t really use it much, except some for meal ideas here and there.

Yes, you have to pay but come on, it’s cheaper than a gym membership so stop complaining

  • Got my interest

I have tried a few fitness apps - which probably makes me fussy more than the fault of any app. However, I think this one has some great features. I love the dynamic nature of it, with the options that can be swapped in and out. Struggled to find the free option but decided to subscribe for three months, which is still cheaper than a gym. Would also be great to have a way to move to the next exercise with a vocal instruction rather than needing to tap the screen. If I was able to simply say ‘next’, it would make transitions smoother. It’s hard to stay in time with instructor without voice timing as well. I don’t always have the screen right in front of me. Otherwise, a great app that will get better and I’m hoping I will get better as well. Cheers.

Hi Simon, we appreciate your feedback. You've raised a good point with the vocal instruction and we will take this into consideration for the future of Freeletics. #ClapClap
  • Travel mate

Great app to get you motivated when you are on the road. Great variety of exercises requiring no equipment.

  • Great, but only for cutting ✂️

After almost 2 years of Freeletics I have found that Freeletics workouts are very effective for losing fat, but not so much in building muscles.

For example, I got stuck at doing Archer Pull-ups and I could never progress past that no matter how much I ate / how many weeks I tried, and yet Freeletics Coach kept giving me those Archer Pull-ups, for months, instead of something else that would build up strength toward it. There are similar examples where the gap between the Hard and the Moderate exercises is huge and yet the Coach doesn’t suggest exercises in between.

However, cutting with Freeletics had been very effective with those Burpees and other cardio exercises. For bulking, just like some reviewers out there, lifting weights is a better choice for me.

  • Love this app

This app has helped me get enthusiastic about workouts. These days I miss workouts if I skip for a day or two. I’ve made a huge progress in just about 3months following the workouts seriously. I’ll continue working out. Thanks freeletics

  • Nothing Is Free

Although it advertised otherwise, nothing is actually free on this app. It kept telling me to do my first workout and each time I selected the link, it asked me to pay for a subscription. So what I want to know is: since I have almost every known physical disability known to mankind, what coach would I be getting for my money? Since rehabilitation and hospitals haven’t been able to do any better, nor manage the chronic pain, how is this app going to do any better? I don’t think anyone thought about those things before creating an unbiased application and/or service. It doesn’t state so I’m the App Store description, but I’ll mention/make others aware of it... this app and service is PTSD unfriendly, including unfriendly to the mentally/psychologically and physically disabled. No one seems to be qualified in being able to help you (especially when they don’t have an understanding of how our bodies work differently to healthy ones), and they don’t even provide services suited for/to you or your needs. Greed is one of the ugly parts of humanity!

Freeletics was created as a concept to allow all people, no matter their background, situation or genetics, to train their physical strength and willpower without hurdles such as equipment, schedules, or experience. To train “free” of limits. For information on how to enjoy the Free Training Section of our app, please contact us at support@freeletics.com. #ClapClap
  • I am actually not a sports person but I love it!

Sometimes it’s hard, but it’s alright. I definitely like that you can choose for your next week what you want to train: cardio, cardio& strength or just strength. You can chose your equipment what you can use and if one of your muscle is really bad you can choose this muscle in the menu and they try to give you exercises without this muscle. Thank you to the team! I am really excited how the next weeks will go :)

  • Freeletics athlete 4Free!!

So, I've had freeletics for over 2 and a half hrs Now... And I am about level 41 as of right now. And, what I can say is that it is an excellent app I use it in conjunction with other regular bodyweight workouts. And I've only used the free version, which consists of 10 workouts. For which I've done everyone except Zeus… this is a highly stellar app, for which I would highly advise you take advantage of. Even if you just use the free version, like me. I would like to buy the full membership. But just don't have a lot of money. So, long story short, I would highly suggest this app!! ;) you won't regret it!! Trust me!

  • Incredible

I workout often 5-6 days a week and have tried various different training plans and apps. Freeletics is above and beyond. If you’re l ok’ing to get stronger, faster, or just change your training routine, you have to get it. The prices are incredible and Hwy you can even do the workouts with actually paying.

The paid app offers the timer, active gps tracking for runs, with auto complete once you have reached the desired distance. I have been using for over three months and have had an incredible experience. So good that I signed up for a year after having a 3 month subscription. You will sweat more, do more, and be more sore than you have in a long time! In a good way!!! Take it from someone who trains often and intense. You need to try this!
