Doesn’t work?
Folder for the app doesn’t show in the files app for me to move files to. Files available locally on iPad can’t be opened in the app. As this means I can’t try the free version, I won’t download the paid version.mdemarco8
Fantastic App that has been abandoned
To be clear, Chunky is a fantastic reader for comics, books etc. I’ve used it both because of the great reviews of the reader and critically it's OneDrive integration; truely 5/5. So why the 3 stars? The integration with OneDrive no longer works and hasn’t worked in years which is a major issue for me as I have severely limited space on my iPad and make extensive use of off-device storage, specifically with OneDrive. As the app hasn’t been updated in years, I can only assume that it has been abandoned and is unlikely to get updated in the future which is sad as it really is fantastic…Show lessDrath Ustom
Quintessential comic and manga reader app
Worth the cost to unlock all features. I hope there’s an update soon; it’s unfortunate there hasn’t been one in quite a while. Features like being able to edit metadata would be great.$Maddog473736;!
And Still The Best
Chunky makes me wish I could transfer my non-DRM titles from Dark Horse and Comixology over. While the guided view in those apps I always sort of liked - I prefer to see the whole panel not panels that are cut off - Chunky gives me so many options that I am in Comic viewer bliss now. I was having issues with displaying my PDFs on iBooks, contacted Image Comics about it and was recommended this reader. Now that Comixology allows me to download Image Comics and certain independent titles as PDFs I have been busy transferring them over to Chunky. Along with the others who have reviewed this app, I can not recommend this app enough. Very, very highly recommended. Not only is this simply the best comic reader by far I have now found a new use for this app, as a digital magazine reader. I bought a digital issue and now am able to use all the functions of Chunky to view the pages the way I want to view them versus fighting the app. Zinio is the guilty app.
Update: I also read text only books if able to load them on to this app as well as screenplays. Now that Comixology is gone and since I don’t particularly care for Kindle, this app is my reader of choice now.Show lessEdeTM
Lost ALL comics
App suddenly showed a white screen with 0 comics. Restarted the app and all my comics are gone. I want my money back.Anthony Brien

This works really well. When it chooses to.
Every so often - sometime daily, sometime weekly, it reports “Error loading page ‘(null)’. The only solution at that point is to reboot.

Is this still being developed?
Getting crashes on ios17 reading PDFs. Pretty much unusable now and it doesn’t seem like it’s being developed anymore. Even the developers website is dead. Such a shame.dscox75
I love it!
Everything about this comic reader is top notch. Turning to the next page is quick, the UI is simple, sometimes the first page isn’t the cover and won’t look good in the library view but this app actually lets you chose which page to use as the cover and you can even crop it if the cover is too big or on the wrong side.
Crazy thing is, the free version is awesome on its own with no ads or annoyances. But the app is just so good that I had to buy the pro version for $5 to support the developer.Show lessHexHexJo
Best Comic Reader Solution for iPad
I’ve tried so many other readers and this was the only one that worked with every service/connection I threw at it. So many problems with SMB and OPDS shares with other more expensive apps, but not here. You can customise the colour scheme to however you like it which I love, it really is a perfect app for me. Shame it doesn’t seem to be developed any more but I’ve never encountered a bug and there are no extra features I feel are required.
