OPDS bookmarks/reading progress????????
Is there a way to bookmark or remember reading progress when using OPDS? I open a comic, browse to a page but when I reopen the comic it starts at page 1 like it was never opened. This can’t be intended design. I don’t want to have to download the comics locally to track progress. Reading progress is a basic core function in reading apps and I will have to cancel subscription and use something else if this is not possible.Show lessUhfhggfhg454678
Fast, Easy, Gorgeous!
Decided to try this out after reading online for a good CBR reader since it was risk free to check out. The majority of features are included at zero cost and you will have a high quality experience without the “pro” in app purchase, but…. It’s totally worth the price of upgrading for the auto border crop feature alone! I’m loving the app, and if you want to easily read your comics I’d highly recommend Chunky.Show lessSeanux
just ok, but a lot of bugs
Paid for pro to set this up with our TrueNas server to read Substack comics but couldn’t figure it out, likely due to our firewalls, oh well. Decided to just link up my old dropbox account and kept trying to pin the comic folder but the app would crash, oh well. But now today I open it up and Chunky is showing nothing in my dropbox folders? So do I just have to remove and add my dropbox account every time I want to DL the substack comics in it? Low key kinda janky lol. Turns out this app hasn’t even been updated in a year? So maybe paying for pro is on me for not noticing that. Suits My Needs Perfectly
I want to load comics to my iPad while using the Mac’s Finder. I want to delete a comic after I have read it. I want to adjust screen brightness from within the comic reader’s app. I want to be able to select "fit to width or fit to screen". And I want to be able to see what page I’m on and the total number of pages quickly and easily. My needs are simple and Chunky handles all my needs and more elegantly. Love this app!Show lessJimGr
Best comics app on ipad
Perfect app. I’ve been using this app for years. Always satisfied the functionalities of this comics reading app. CBZ, cbr and pdf files are supported. The only thing I’d like added in the pro version is the option to change the tint of all the blacks, just like the whites.millenniumwinters
No support for local files
Tried to get this to work but after reinstalling I was still unable to get it to detect my comic files on my ipadAdanac21
Good app, but abandoned
Been using chunky for years, even paid for pro features. It’s been a good comic reader. Not a ton of bells and whistles but enough to make it practical and unobtrusive. Only recently did I encounter a bug (on a pro feature, nonetheless) and while looking for more info online discovered that the developer is essentially awol. Website is down, twitter inactive for nearly a year, only the app itself remaining. After all the use I’ve gotten out of chunky, I wish I could leave a better recommendation, but I’d avoid unless you can live with the free version or the developer reappears.Show lessandrew b. reviews

No longer working properly
The app used to separate my comics perfectly so for example I have a Captain Marvel v1 folder and v2 folder and so on so if I put vol1 and vol2 in Chunky, vol1 would be on its own line and vol2 would be on its own line - now it just throws them all together even though and it’s a mess! Could we implement a night mode?
This app is the best available no doubt. Makes importing and managing a breeze. Reading is great too.
Suggestion: for nighttime reading, a single button push to change the page tint to a darker tone would be great. iPad screen brightness setting still too bright with a white backdrop. And who doesn’t love to read in bed?Show lessThereIsNoNameAtAll
