  • Bloody Brilliant

I have an old iPad (4th generation) there's not a lot I can do with it but now there is this I've filled it up with my favourite comics/graphic novels and it is now my go to piece of tech of an evening.
Well worth getting the Pro Version even if it is just to keep these guys creating stuff.
    Love it!

  • local files are broken

reinstalled the app and I no longer have a local files folder. Was my favourite comic reader before.
  • The only app that worked for me

I compiled manga chapters using KCC into volumes and Calibre to convert to epub. Unfortunately when I put these volumes into kindle & Apple Books app, every other page was blank. This is the ONLY app that recognized there were no blank pages, reading manga on here is great. Panels didn’t even recognize my file. Can’t wait to try out the other features this app has to offer.

  • Was the best, needs updating

Beautiful organisation, intuitive controls, connects to all cloud services. I bought it and tipped, and want to see it improve but it’s fallen behind. iCloud import especially is a pain, only because it hasn’t been updated inside Chunky, competing readers let you download multiple files at once. 2 years and no updates… might be abandoned

  • Great app, would love iPhone compatibility for on the go reading.

Downloaded this app after trying out Panels and running into issues with it returning to the previous pages when swiping to the next; and they wanted a subscription for premium features? No thanks. Chunky saved the day. Does everything I desired and premium is a one time thing. The only thing Chunky doesn’t seems to have is an iPhone compatible version. Maybe in the future? Nonetheless, great app.

  • An acceptable but inferior replacement for Comic Zeal

This app’s primary advantage over Comic Zeal is that it functions under iOS 16. That is, however, a significant advantage, and it is not sufficiently worse to counteract that advantage.

(Other advantages include more server-connectivity options and better integration with the Files system, which was handy when I had to switch over from another attempted replacement which was not acceptable.)

  • App development dead?

Lots of bugs, null errors and unread catalog resetting. Developers web and email down….
  • Doesn't index subfolders

This comic reader has the same problem that many other media reading applications on iOS have: It doesn’t index subfolders. So, if like me you have your comics neatly arranged by geographic region, topic, title and year… you have to go through hundreds of subfolders and manually tap the “all” button one folder at a time to download them. This is entirely unnecissary and can take hours if you have a large collection.

  • The, go to reader as long as we all kick in a $ or 3

Michael. Fantastic app! I have wired you some shekels early on and will do so again, after this. Unless my eyes deceive me….oh yes they have in the past; I have attempted to re-order titles within a series to no avail. I will double check again, yet I am pretty sure my titles in a series, follow the same naming convention which includes volume numbers in the right places. Yeah……don’t bring up my eyes! Keep up the geat work…..2 years since you updated? Slow Down Man! 🙂

  • Great App

Love this app. It unfortunately, looks like there hasn’t been an update for two years.
Some additional features with editing the metadata would be great.
