Utter garbage pay to win, that you never win

Having men pay up front to engage with the app is discriminatory but understandable to weed out the non serious griefers. Pitting men _against each other_ in an unending game of Most Recent Purchase is reprehensible - where your ‘reign’ may last microseconds - and users are encouraged to goad other users that they have been topped. Presumably if men wanted that law-of-the-jungle competitive edge to relationships they would go out to clubs. Then you are invited to purchase a ‘gift’ to get the attention of a potential match - you still can’t initiate a chat unless the match allows it (which is where you were before making that purchase). Pointlessly shows profiles hundreds of miles away, while hiding ones that are more manageable distances. It constantly prompts there’s 100+ ‘new’ ads, but it’s just the same twenty or so that you’ve been looking at for the last few weeks just in a slightly different order (so probably the most recent profiles that have opened the app). Utterly useless, and just as bad as all the other dating apps. Save your money and avoid.

Hi! Over 15,000,000 people have downloaded Pure, but there are still places in the world with fewer matches nearby. Tell us where you are at review@pure.app. Meanwhile, add geography to your borderless and shameless dating and sext away around the globe.

Pay to play scam

With this app you have to pay just to see if anyone else is on it. This is an old school, early internet pay to play scam. You may create a profile (which they are likely skimming for data) but you can’t even see if anyone else is using it before they ask for your money. There’s no hook here. Don’t bother, save your time.

All of the good reviews are old. That should tell you something.

To the developers: there is a reason this app isn’t popular. Maybe learn some basic business skills?

Banned by bots

This app feels like Bots are just looking for keywords and no context is being looked at when they ban you. I reread the guidelines and one of them states even if something is unintentional- it counts against you lol as long as you can trick the bots monitoring- your account is safe - I come to this conclusion because of how many men actually put their private parts as their main ad pic but because it “doesn’t look like it” their account is up and running ! If the guidelines truly mattered and real people actually monitored then you wouldn’t see ads running using numbers as letters to form inappropriate words or emojis used in certain sexual context. Just further proof the context of the ads are not actually looked at and it’s only certain things that trigger whatever automated system they use to ban you. At first I was disappointed to be banned because it felt unjust especially cause this app at first was trying to make it seem like they were about safety and boundaries and respect- but taking all the above into consideration- it makes sense why/how they band. It feels like a false sense of protection they are trying to provide and it’s meant to work for them NOT us.

Hi! We've gone through your case thoroughly, just like we do with every email we receive. Unfortunately, after a careful review and a second look, we found that there were valid reasons for the ban on your account. Breaking the rules leads to a ban forever. There can be no exceptions when we protect our Pure community.

Voice/video chat features position

The randos calling is a nice feature - and surely many like it. But i just find it too inconvenient because of the position of the button. It’s smack right middle - too close to other main tab and i get startled every time i misclicked on it just to hear a weird sound on the other end at 3am. Didnt feel comfortable of how quick it is to connect + being annoyed of how many times i misclicked on it so i just deleted it the app ._.

Fraud

These people make it impossible to stop charging you money. Don’t sign up. They keep taking money after you unsubscribe and won’t give it back. Had to cancel my card and get a new one. Very limited dating. Very poor app. Ripoff. Stay away!!

Negative 10 star rating.
Be warned this is a scam.

Happy to remove my review if you return all the money withdrawn after I unsubscribed.

Should be called ‘Dodgy’!

Extremely dissatisfied

I downloaded this app 4 days ago it was great I found someone who we clicked immediately and everything was great until tonight as I’m writing this review I had found some stuff on Instagram that I thought we would enjoy so I tried sending him the link to it, but I couldn’t so I just did a screen recording of it like we started talking about it and like maybe we should get something like that because we are getting pretty serious and started looking for stuff and I was sending him pictures of stuff that I liked and what not and then I get banned and back and is like oh I’m sorry everything safe, but just let them do their job and you know the un your account about an hour goes by I messaged the people on Pure in the app and I get a message saying that my account has been banned indefinitely because I was asking for basically asking for money and return for sexual favors, but that was not the case we were just looking at stuff and we were talking about me coming to visit him so we were looking at prices for like flights and what not but I got banned and on top of it. They never told me that that was against the rules when I signed up for it, so I just want everyone to know that you do this just make sure that you filtered it and I mean hopefully they will see this and they will un ban my account because I did explain to them what we were doing, but they didn’t wanna hear it from me so that is my honest review

Second time but legitimate issue

This is my second time using this app.

The first time around was a good experience, and it felt like a legitimate platform.

Unfortunately, this second time has been disappointing. While I understand the payment system, the users or account holders now seem fake or illegitimate 🧐. I wanted to believe these were real accounts, but the interactions feel scripted, as if they’re AI-generated or being managed by one person behind multiple accounts.

Something has definitely changed on this platform, and I no longer recommend joining or coming back. It’s not the app it used to be.

Disappointed

Only rating it 5 stars to get the attention of the developers. This was a wholeheartedly genuine mistake. So I’m a little upset with the way this has been handled. I got banned for using a trigger word in my ad and straight off the bat got banned. It should’ve gave me a warning per what the description says but I didn’t get one. Seriously disappointed. I emailed their support team to try an appeal my ban on my account and get slapped with a copy and paste email. Honestly very frustrating and you just run circle around this. It’s very devastating giving the fact that I had some real good genuine connections with some people on here and pure has a great way of keeping it safe which is why I enjoyed it. Never thought I’d get booted off for something so minor. Note **** How was my case a VALID reason to get banned. for what this app is for, creating that honest mistake and not getting a second chance feels discriminative. Id like to request a supervisor or someone other than a copy and paste response.
