  • Great app for sparking creativity

I especially love the prompt to pick a daily Brainsparker.
  • Still getting used to it...

Only had this app for a few days. I guess it's ok. I paid for the all-access package. Haven't come across a card that Sparked me to write, journal or vlog. I'd like to see more decks being offered. Or maybe an in-app notepad feature, so we can jot down our thoughts immediately.
  • Nice app. Wish you could pick from specific decks more easily

Nice and simple app with affordable packs. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like you are able to choose a deck and then just pull a card from that specific deck, without going into the settings.

Journaling and writing would be nice to focus on those decks more easily for the inspiration I want in the moment.

Thanks for your really useful feedback. We will look at how we can make choosing a pack easier. We'll keep you posted!
  • It’s pretty good

I’m liking it so far. I’m currently writing a story about perspective and I think it would be nice if you could add notes to cards, then I could know what I wanted to include that for.
  • I would love to see a songwriting card pack!

A lot of the cards are great ideas but I really don’t think that the pictures are needed. Although many of these cards are cliché, some of them really do help with issues like depression and anxiety. However I definitely think a song writing card pack is definitely necessary. I also think that some better quotes would be a great idea. I think that creating your own card pack would be so much fun as well!

Hey Blindy630, thanks so much for taking the time to give your input. We do have a songwriting card pack on the list, so watch this space! Your other ideas are great too. Thanks.

  • Loving it so far

Would love an option to have a “Create Your Own” pack - like a place write your own quotes or ideas to later reflect on or use as a prompt for writing.

It’d be nice if the Main Menu could be found by a button and we could just start the app UI at the Card pack selection, too. My daily setting is already “set and forget” and I don’t need the quick guide anymore, so having to tap my way to the goods is an easy inconvenience that could be adjusted!

I love how app reviewing allows me to whine about having to touch my thumb to a glowing screen twice instead of once... the future is here people!

Great app guys, thanks so much!

  • lol

one of those things you DL saying to yourself "oh cool, i'm totally gonna use this" and delete 2 days later. 3 stars because i like the idea of it :)
  • Magic 8 Ball

Wow! This is terrible. Sad, overused clichés like “think outside of the box,” “ask a child,” and “go outside” are about all this app can do. A magic 8 ball would serve you more than downloading this app. Perhaps this app is for children but I would hope we would give children something with more substance.

**Update: the app developer responded to me quickly. Kudos! They reiterated the basic instructions, “think of a problem and then use the app.” I did think of a simple problem, originally. I even changed to a more basic version of my “problem” to give the app a fighting chance. Instead, the app developer insinuated I was using the app incorrectly. Thanks for the insult, Brainsparker. My earlier review still stands.**

Thanks for your feedback. Brainsparker works best when you have a clear challenge or problem in mind. Then you pick a card and see what new thoughts this sparks in relation to this problem or challenge.
  • Useless

This app is useless. One-word cards saying things like “clarity” or “focus” do nothing to stimulate them in me. There are random photos of footsteps on the moon and an up-close shot of some wood.

One card said “think of something ridiculous”. I thought of this app.
