iPad version & pc version no good
Out of touch within its own corporate boundaries, Quicken has deteriorated from useful and accurate to useless and unable to connect with major Canadian banks. It is however, one of the few formats that Canadian financial institutions have for downloads of multi-month transaction history.
So, I have to ask myself if it’s worth paying 80-90 bucks a year to have this alternative? Probably not.

It just gets worse each update
The latest version (7.4.1) actually causes problems for the desktop version data file. When you use the mobile version, it changes something in the cloud and when you try to sync the desktop it fails and you have to replace the data on the cloud with your desktop version of data to get everything in sync again so you can use the desktop version. However you can’t use the mobile app again or everything will fail again and you have to repeat the repair process. The problem doesn’t happen if you use the ipad version of the app.
They need to change the program name to "Sicken" since each new version or upgrade gets worse each time.
Do they even test new versions before pushing them out. This upgrade certainly makes me sick.

Waste
Was hopeful at first, but budgets won't sync, account balances are often wrong and transactions are frequently missed. Super clunky and not user friendly. Will be looking for something else.
Ripped off
I can’t believe they charge 80 bucks yearly for this. Doesn’t work as evidenced by many of the other reviews
Loading… loading…
Stuck on loading screen after initial sign in. Same problem on iPhone and iPad.
iPhone app doesn’t work
The Mac software is incredible! I have the personal and business plan, and it does everything I need. The iOS app, however, doesn’t work. I can open it and put my login details in, but the only thing it shows after that is: “loading financial details” with a loading circle. It just loads and loads but doesn’t take me into the app.

Decent Mint replacement
Found this to be the closest “good” one to make do for decommissioning of Intuit’s Mint.
But a long way to go in several areas:
1. Reduced reliance on the Desktop app and make it more mobile / tab friendly. C’mon…. This is 2024. High time already.
2. Support for more Canadian financial institutions. Even with the big banks, no all products sync through, e.g. mortgages.
Inter-account money movement works a lot better here than it did Mint. Even setting up Budgets offers more flexibility than Mint did.

Latest version of mobile app is so sluggish
I’ve been a Quicken mobile user for many years and the latest version of the mobile app is so slow as to be practically unusable. You need to work on the app performance.
Hidden categories
When will you implement hidden categories so that those that are hidden on desktop are also hidden on mobile companion?
Much improved, still occasionally buggy
Revised March 7, 2024: I see a lot of comments from people that mobile data doesn't match the data on their computer. This also occurs for me maybe once or twice a year. It's clearly a data corruption on the cloud side. I can always fix it by resetting my cloud data or deleting the cloud file uploading transactions freshly. If it wasn't for this, I would give the five stars. I like traveling with my iPad and if I don't have my laptop with me, I'm out of luck at this happens.
Since I wrote my last review, I'm pleased that I can now access five years of historical data. I tend to find the Quicken website app offers more functionality than the iOS app. But, as a companion app, it's pretty useful. No replacement for the desktop app, but if I need to find a transaction, this can't be beat compared to checking all of my different accounts separately.
I do hope Quicken continues to work on stability.
