  • Great resource! Could use some updates

I would give this a five star review if it was easier to edit the categories. You currently can only access the editing of them on the Foreceipt website. Once you enter the category you can’t drag and drop the order, you have to slowly click it up section by section. For people who have a lot of categories it can take hours to update. I hope they update this soon. Then it would be indispensable!

  • Customer service

Recently lost google drive access to my Foreceipt folder.
I spent days trying to recover the folder so that Foreceipt would read the folder. Unbeknownst I had copied and pasted misplacing the meta-data version of the files. Three years of my information was not syncing.

I was able to contact customer service and on a GoToMeeting together solved the mess I created. Finding the files with the meta-data and getting those in the folder that the app was searching for on my google drive.

  • Other Signup Options Needed

We decided to download based on the number of positive reviews. Tried to sign up and it requires a Google ID which we don’t have. Recently our company moved off of Google’s hosting because we didn’t like the intrusiveness of Google services. For example Google records all of our receipts even if we did not buy from them. We didn’t like this so we moved to Microsoft hosting. The product sounds cool, but needs to be integrated with other services to setup for use.

  • If I could give fewer stars I would

This app started out as a great thing to help with tracking my receipts during my first year of business. It became very time consuming and inconvenient when I had to always stop and meticulously input or correct the way the app picked up on the scanning of receipts.
Yes I did renew my subscription but after a day of going through the same correcting of the scanning I found another app that works SO MUCH BETTER and that app allows me to use my desk scanner as well as my phone’s camera for scanning. I canceled the subscription and requested a refund and I gave the reason for doing so and I was told that the company is very sorry by the $49 I spent on the yearly app subscription could not be refunded. It’s ok I guess. The money is a small amount in comparison to the customer service I’ve received from this company. Please by all means get rich and continue the very successful formula you guys have for your apps.

  • Waste of time and money

As a small business owner, I have enough on my plate keeping my business afloat. When you’re by yourself, you tend to look for some easier ways or tools that can help simplify some of your tasks. That when I kept hearing about receipt scanners and how they organize etc... I asked around and I said as highly recommend Foreceipt. Well in here to tell you that this app is a waste of time and $120 annually. This app only takes pictures of your receipts and stores them. There’s absolutely no organization, which is my biggest reason for wanting the receipt scanner so that I can cut down the time of having to do it manually for filing taxes. YES if you’re trying to file TAXES, this is NOT the app you want. I will be canceling my subscription as soon as I figure out how to get this so called spreadsheet they make based off the receipt data. Quite frankly I couldn’t be more disappointed in the functionality of Foreceipt. Why? Because I still have to go through hundreds of receipts by hand.

  • Disappointed by limited uploads

I love the features. Expense and income view, chart view of each category, can sort by dates, month or merchants and more. It can even fill in your upload by just taking a photo it’s not always accurate and you’ll have to go back and edit categories etc but it’s a nice feature. Shows an overview which is nice also. The biggest thing I’m looking for in an app is unlimited receipt uploads. The free version offers 10 uploads per month and if you upgrade pay $4/mo for up to 1,000 uploads but when you run a business or even as a regular consumer that is not enough. That is first and most important feature I am looking for in a receipt app.

    Developer Response

Thanks a lot for your great feedback! We will definitely consider your suggestion to be able to introduce a new plan to have unlimited uploads soon
  • Great app but no ones perfect

This receipt tracker app is great for tracking expenses and getting rid of the paper clutter in house. Some minor fixes but would make a huge impact. When selecting the receipt to edit the price or name, the check on the top right corner is cut off. Not allowing me to confirm the changes. Maybe due to the new IOS update or application update. Please fix and all will go well.

  • Simple and straightforward, for a price

I’m editing my review of this app. This was, in fact, everything I was looking for—it's easy to use, straightforward reporting, simple features. Initially there were some issues trying to figure out how to customize my own categories (at first I tried making my own custom tags, but then couldn't find out how to find the summary of expenses based on the tag). With that resolved, I'm bumping up my rating. I am kind of bummed at the cost, but I suppose we've all got to make a living.

  • Works Amazing!

Took a little getting used to at first but now that I have the hang of it and can customize the different categories and create budgets and see where money is flowing in different areas more accurately, I am able to get a much more accurate picture of my spending from all accounts in one place. Scans pretty accurately but I set it to manual photo instead of auto and that seemed to work better as you would almost have to have it perfect to get it with auto. Great design and implementation! Good job guys!

  • Needs some work

The idea is spot on. I thought when I scanned my receipts, it would automatically categorise them for you. Everything added is categorised in the same category! You have to go in and change it yourself and edit everything. That seems to defeat the purpose of scanning a receipt if I just have to change everything manually anyway. Isn’t the app smart enough to categorise a receipt from Home Depot as something other than “food and drink?” If this is just user err, please, let me know. But if not, this needs some work.
