  • Apple Watch

These apps for the Apple Watch don’t work with the Apple Watch... it requires me to carry my phone around with me. I work on my feet 9 hours a day. The apps used to work with my watch. Not sure what changed.
I can not carry my phone in me at work. Would be great if it would work with my watch.

Thanks for using Stepwise. Stepwise does indeed work on the Apple Watch, and does not require you to carry your phone constantly. It appears that something with your devices is likely not allowing the two to communicate effectively. Please reach out via the contact option in the app, or via support@stepwiseapp.com and refer to this message, along with details of what you are seeing and I will be sure to get you up and running. Thanks, Neil.
  • Walk It Out

Love this app — wish ‘Trip’ would have a pause then continue phase. Ex: if when walking, you get interrupted for whatever reason, pause, then continue would be nice, instead of starting over.
  • Finally the steps complications I was looking for

I was looking for a simple steps tracking app that would display my steps as an easy to read complication on my Apple Watch Series 4 and I was shocked to discover how few pedometer apps support the new complications. This app is one of the few that does and does it beautifully. Thank you!

Thanks for the lovely review. I always want to make Stepwise as clear and useful as possible and will continue to embrace new opportunities as they arise.
  • Does what its suppose to do and more

I originally started off with the free app which was excellent and upgraded to the premium subscription that adds more features. Accurate measurements and data with a clean and easy to read interface.
  • Very cool data tracker for creative steppers

What a great app to track personal data! My coworker and I challenge each other to compete for higher steps and I continue to increase my average step count and aim for that daily goal.
  • Stopped working after the update: THE FIX

So far, this is my favorite pedometer app because of the workout (“Trip”), history, and cumulative steps and miles features. What would make it great is if it would keep the “trip” history day-by-day as well. I’ve been very loyal to this app over the last couple of years and after two of the updates, my watch and the phone stopped communicating my workouts and history, which means lost data since I log my steps, workouts and miles for the entire year. I followed all the instructions on their site plus contacted their support and received their instructions, but without success. I’d checked all of my iPhone settings, but - finally - I had to open the Stepwise app on the phone, choose “Me” at the bottom right, and turn back on “Merge Apple Watch Data”. I don’t know that reboots, resets or anything is going to turn that back on within the app on the phone... you must do it. I will upgrade this review to 5 stars once that stops happening.

Hi Toni. Thanks for leaving a nice review, and I am sorry to hear of your issues. As discussed in our communications on your ticket, I have made a change that should resolve this, which will be included with the next release (3.2.1). Thanks again.

I might get used to the radical change and look and rate it differently. But I'm really disappointed to lose my history. Right now I long for the simple look with the white background that it had before.

This I wrote when you first change the format. I still agree with it so I’m sending it now.
I’m also not sure the accounts are accurate as they disagree radically sometimes with others. Does this require a cell phone connection all the time toBe accurate? I frequently go on hikes Where cell phone connections are limited. I don’t know how to contact the maker to ask this question so I’m using this method but I don’t know if you could respond. Probably not so maybe I’m just venting.

Thanks again for using Stepwise. As I said in my reply in 2017, the app was updated and looks different as I took onboard a lot of user feedback over the preceding 3 years. If the new look doesn’t appeal, I’m sorry. Again, as I said back then, all your history should still have been there, but is accessed by swiping or tapping months etc., and if you prefer a light background, feel free to choose the light background on the Me screen. In relation to your additional update, wow, you are still using the app even though you didn't like the update. I am not sure what to say? Thank you? (Although as I hope you realise, the design isn't changing back!). If the counts differ, it may be that you use a watch, and the merging of data may look different? But please reach out directly to me and I can look into this. You say you don't know how to contact the maker, and you are unsure if I can respond here. First there is a feedback option on the Me screen in the app, tap it, and send me a message, I always reply! Secondly,as I said in my response here last year, you can also reach out to me at support@stepwiseapp.com. All the best!

Hi. Great to hear you have a new iPhone. If you took out the premium subscription on your last phone, please head to the Me screen, tap Stepwise Premium, and then tap Restore Previous Subscription. If you have left a tip in a previous version, as they stated, they removed ads on that specific device. However, you can me reach out to me via the Send Feedback option on the Me screen, and I will be sure to help you. Thanks.
