  • Not worth it

    I used Soothe when it came out. Great! The ability to get a massage at home on my term was amazing. Then eventually it became almost impossible to get anybody…on my term. So I uninstalled the app. I tried it again a few days ago. Same problem. I requested probably 10 different providers but none available or offering me different days. If I wanted a massage in 3 days I would go to a massage place and get a massage. The whole point of on-demand is that it’s on my terms otherwise there’s no point. On top of that it’s NOT cheap so I would expect a little better. They have now all the services like hair, nails….over priced of course but it’s all fine. I’m ok spending double or triple the regular price to get the service in the comfort of my home on my terms…but unfortunately that’s not what Soothe provides. Also when someone requests an appointment and get nobody I would imagine support would reach out to help…nope! So convenience of the service 0, customer service 0, cost 0…the app works very well though so good point for the developers. I imagine Soothe will not be around much longer….

  • Wish I could “block” certain providers

    Instead of reviewing providers, I wish there was an option to add them to a list of “yes I would like to use them again in the future” or “I would prefer not to work with this masseuse again”. I’m not a fan of the idea of leaving a bad review for a person that knows where I live since that leaves the potential for retaliation.

    I recently had a 1 hour massage booked for 11am. My therapist did not show up until 11:40, got started at 11:45, and ended at 12:30. Not only was she late, but she also shorted my massage by about 15 minutes. The majority of the massage was done one-handed while she aggressively scratched at herself with the other hand, and her technique was about what I’d expect if I asked my 8 year old niece for a massage.

    I’ve had a few other massages by different providers through Soothe and my experience with them was great. I don’t want to cancel my subscription, I’d just prefer to have the option to decline to work with this therapist again in the future.

  • Long time customer, will be leaving

    I have been a long time customer of this service, and have seen the transformation from the time that “a tip” was needed, to now a “surge” charge is added.
    The therapists are wonderful, however their customer service is not. They outsource it, which is fine, but those reps don’t care about the level of service they provide, one feels even disrespected and unheard. I have a membership which I have been keeping for a long time, I was out of the country and couldn’t use the service, but was hopeful to use it when back, to find out that now there are black out dates, hence the surge charges, if you want to use the services, pay extra $100; all together for a massage it would be around $250 plus tip, for a 60mins massage, crazy!!! because not even Burke Williams would charge that much.
    Very disappointed. I will use all my points when I don’t need to pay extra, and then will cancel my membership, because they won’t refund me. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP, it’s a big scam.
