Disappointed that features are removed
I recently noticed that my integration to ToDist has been removed from Scanbot Pro and you have to subscribe to this version to access this feature.
It’s disappointing that customers that have paid for services previously are treated this way who supported simple apps i. their earliest iteration.
Not worth it any longer
That being said, the premium is where I draw the line I paid for the pro version a long time ago and now I’m told that a need a subscription? And $4/mo at that. Frankly, there are free apps that fit the same bill and don’t come with the price tag. This was a ludicrous money grab by this company, who’s probably feeling the heat because Apple is stepping up their game in the photo scanning business.
Ultimately I would not recommend purchasing this app because subscriptions always go up in price and for what the app does it’s simply not worth the money.

App stopped working
I deleted an app and reinstalled it, but it doesn’t let me restore previous purchase because it only recognizes subscription now. And none of my documents got restored!
I understand developing your app, and making it more profitable. I do. But making it inaccessible for old customers is a low blow. I did pay for it previously, so at the very least I should be able to use it as it was when I paid for it.
At this point I just want to retrieve my old scans, and I’m outta here. There are plenty of other scan apps, hopefully with better ethics.

I’ve had this app for few years now (paid version, before it became subscription).
And never had any issues.
Until today, when I needed a scan at important meeting, and though I could see a preview, I couldn’t view the actual file. It was really bad timing for a glitch. And I do hope it’s a glitch, and not because I didn’t subscribe to additional services.

also the new icon is terrible. Looks like a grayed out icon for an app that didn’t install correctly. Please allow choice of the red icon which appears in the settings.
This app is excellent
Easily keep all receipts together from travel and organize in iCloud. Easily make copies of all important documents and organize in iCloud folder. Use your phone to scan and immediately access it from your mac or iPad. Fantastic app. One of my favorites. A must have.
Business travel tip: on a business trip FORCE yourself to scan every receipt the second you get it, whether at hotel checkout, restaurant, airport, gas station, everything you spend. It takes two seconds to do this. Just make it part of your routine —sign the check at dinner, pull out your phone and scan. Two seconds. Set up the scans to be named with the date automatically and you can add additional words at time of scan or later. If you do this, it makes doing expense reports or invoicing an absolute breeze. Everything is in a folder on your icloud, accessible from your mac or anywhere. I use to dread gathering receipts and doing expense reports. Not anymore. This app makes it easy.

Scam app. Dishonest developers.
Upgrade screen still promises all features I’ve paid for will continue free but they DO NOT.
This is dishonest and fraudulent behaviour and tells you all you need to know about this developer. I will be moving to an alternative app and reporting the developer to Apple.

An update is available and a *new* name change! Likely the new owners decision.
BUT, most importantly, the features you've been using all along are being removed and you can pay £99 for the privilege of restoring them.
Although the app is, I've found, one of the better scanning apps for mobile use, I don't do that many scans to warrant this charge.
It simply leaves one feeling really ripped off!! And yes, I know Apple take £30, BUT, it's Maple Media who have decided to disable, and charge for, existing features.
What's to stop them simply increasing the subscription willy nilly to support those new Tesla they all need? Not the original developers though. They've all left. If one goes by the fact they no longer respond to reviews. :-[
NOT ON!! Seriously *BAD* form!
I'm already looking for alternative app to do the job. BYE!
