Inconsistent
A bit late to be writing this review considering the current political climate where I live, but I do think there are some important things of note regarding the moderation of this app. I overall agree with the idea that censoring certain things is important especially on an app which is marketed so heavily towards young audiences the moderation however is very inconsistent in areas that are seemingly most important. Slurs are said willy nilly using varied spellings and separate characters while other comments are taken down for seemingly no reason? It’s especially difficult because the system itself doesn’t tell you what exactly in your comment or video was flagged so a lot of the time you’re left wondering while watching dozens of other people use words to insult others and are able to squeeze by moderation. I remember specifically, seeing a comment left under a discourse video saying “children are hot” I reported it, only for it to say there was nothing wrong with that comment. I then appealed that and it was sent under a re-review only for it to again say there was nothing wrong with that comment. I do think overall, the app is a great place to find information quickly, and the overall pros do outweigh the cons, I do see the discrepancies however to be important enough to comment on.

Stop banning people for stupid reasons
OK, I have gotten banned multiple times for stupid reasons that I am under age. I’m not under age is 12 and up and I’m 13. I can’t keep making new accounts and I’m just trying to watch videos and post to my friends like these are my friends I didn’t post anything inappropriate. I didn’t post anything bad my privacy setting is to my friends The only other two videos that I haven’t posted to my friends was me with my boyfriend and me playing block blast I’ve had people who are way younger than me not get banned and they are still active on TikTok like by the ages of seven and under and it’s just like really stupid because I’m not getting targeted cause this is at least my 16th time getting banned. I am old enough to have TikTok even if I wasn’t I’m mature enough like it’s really stupid because I’ve even had accounts ran by my mom. I’ve still gotten banned and even if I posted a picture of me when I’m young, I would get banned and it’s like really stupid because it will not stop happening and I’m just trying to post videos for my friends and watch and if it happens again, I don’t know it’s like really stupid and I need someone to like help me on this and like I’ve contacted and I’ve done lots of stuff but they haven’t seen any of it and it’s making me really mad and if it happens again, I actually hope TikTok gets banned because it’s really really really stupid

The clock app
***This is the third review I’m writing since the other two could not fit in the given characters*** TikTok is truly a community where there is a space for everyone of every background, belief, and interest. U truly are able to build a family and community of friends here. Truly one of the best platforms available. I Just wish I was able to repost my own videos as well as have my profile views history saved permanently so I can decide when to delete who has seen my profile. I also believe it would be beneficial if u brought back the video profile pictures or at least were to send that data to the users email as we did not have an option to save our user profile videos before the feature was removed. Also if possible you should allow an option to download all content of our profiles so we don’t lose data if we lose the account. Finally I believe all users would be eternally grateful if our drafts were to save to the account not the device for us to be able to log in on new phones and still access our draft library as pleased and not lose it forever. All in all I love the app I’ve been a user since it was previously owned by musically and I truly believe this app has changed the world for the better

I think TikTok is very good it keeps you occupied and you can get ideas from there. See things, but the only thing I don’t like is when I’m misjudged. You have put a ban on me for I don’t know how long that man approached my comment I don’t speak bad about anyone, but I don’t like it the way people take someone’s name off. I always still say there is only one genuine can Yaman and there is all of the others, use his pictures and name to gain from it. He is the one that called me a scam, not the other way around. If you read that properly, you will see that, and I replied. I am not a scam. This is wrong. I don’t understand how these people are let get away with this. I have been scammed myself many times I know what that feelings like it’s a sick horrible feeling. they want money can be abusive. No I am none of these I don’t understand why you’ve put a ban on me because I don’t feel that I was at fault, I was only speaking the truth. Apart from this happening, I’m very happy with TikTok but a lot of good things on there. Interesting and funny. Thank you for listening. You need to have a space where people can write what they need to say to you when there is a complaint or you complain you don’t have that you charge for yourself? That is wrong. You’re not giving the innocent people a chance. I’m very unhappy and dissatisfied with that.

ok to start off I had Tik tok since the end of musically , obviously I was young so I did get banned a few times . MY problem is that now I’m over the age limit for the app and I’m still getting banned . I have even gotten banned on an account that had my thirteen birthday party videos for the same reason every time , MY AGE .
And on top of that the appeals hardly work so I lose these old and good accounts for stupid reasons just because of my looks . But they only focus on age because there are p0rn suggestive videos and filters going around that tiktok have done nothing on . Including racist comments etc . YET when I report them , 8/10 nothing happens . BUT IT TAKES ONE REPORT and I’m banned .
Make that make sense seriously. I just got banned recently on account that was private because I’m not 16 yet for the same reason of my age and the appeal isn’t updated yet . I do love the app and it’s a big part of my daily routine but please fix your banning issue im tired of getting banned for these reasons , and yes ik age is important but how come I press on a sound and there’s thousands of kids under the age limit that have not been banned and have been up for ages . other people’s videos&when a strike for just making comment on a post because some one clicked on report no swear words or saying remarks they just do it to be mean &when making or getting a strike there no place on page to put an explanationl So many friends getting their accounts banned&suspend for comments it ungodly amounts of them. No reasons they call me say the appeals just say community guidelines when if violations&appeals approved. I just didn’t know
I was aware of TikTok, I just didn’t know if I would, or could handle what I consider social media so for some time I avoided it, because I don’t care for Facebook, I don’t care for platforms that can be miss used, or negative, but after adding the app to my phone, I feel this is a platform that can be positive, funny, and caring yes there are times when I think about the platform, the monitoring, how it’s decided if something must be deleted, however being able to leave comments, by having a text message conversation, and most importantly the individuals choose to have verbal contact . I recently told someone that I have this app on my phone they didn’t believe me, because they knew I don’t like Facebook , but I will admit it’s humbling, humerus, and in some instances extremely caring. Actually I love it. I continue to watch, leave a comment here or there, receive messages, and respond with respect, feedback, and replies, and conversation is always welcome. Thank you for providing a platform that allows options, to except, or reject by just moving on. Overall TikTok is an exceptional platform for those that love to share, and socialize with no pressure, that’s what except, or reject is all about, and that’s what creates a positive platform. By the way I love the shopping , w have yet to be disappointed.

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING
now i usually don’t come on here and write reviews but tiktoks corporate and employees have just rubbed the wrong way completely. Not to mention no one actually speaks english ! good luck trying to get any problem you have solved because it won’t happen, this is why i say don’t buy ANYTHING from here. Anything goes wrong w your package you’ll have to put it a report, wait a couple days then they will start asking you random questions and basically loop around solving your issue. I’ve had multiple issues and never one of them were solved, my package was “delivered” to a completely different house, (genuinely didn’t even look like a house from my city)they beat around the bush until just completely ignoring me. A different time, I’ve had to verify my ID not once, not twice.. but 3 times because my account was reported for being a minor, as if they didn’t have my ID on there in the first place and was banned for months. I reached out multiple times “nothing they could do”. anytime i’ve tried to do anything w coupons or anything w tiktok shop it’s never worked out without an issue. I’ve had this platform since it was musically i’ve never had an issue up until a couple months ago, it’s definitely the people working for / running it could do a lot better. I have over 15k and have been on the app over 6 years you’d think theyd act like they care a little more when you have an obvious issue or bug in the app.

Many Issues with the App
I started using this TikTok ever since 2020 but I noticed so many issues. First, the story features. It does work on my account but other people I know have this. Second, the review system of the app is a disaster. Every time I upload a video, it keeps getting it flagged and it takes a while to get a response. One of my video took more than 2 months. Third, I can no longer submit an appeal it just says “Appeal deadline expired”, which doesn’t make any sense because they just recently flagged it. Fourth, I no longer receive any system notification if my video got flagged or not. Fifth, they took my my more data analysis on each video. The only way for me to look at it is by going to TikTok Studio but it can only check past 30 days videos. This actually don’t help because some of my videos gets flagged after months posting them. 6th is the worst one they have on this app and it actually needs to be taken care of, it is the help and support system. All of these issues I provided were never solved and it’s always the same response. To be honest I don’t even know if they human beings who are responding to my tickets because they all sound repetitive and they never help at all. They should just take it out because it doesn’t help you with issues. Also, they never try to understand the situation and it just gives you a random answer. TikTok you need to do better with your app and I’m very disappointed it gotten worse now.

Please supervise your TikTok moderators, as they are just harassing users for no reasons about their posts. They harass users who innocently put up CapCut with their own pictures in it and TikTok says it’s not original. But they don’t moderate the horrific posts and lives that are full of lies and deceit or On TikTok hands-free but reading the comments in the live section while they are driving and it is specially common with truck drivers. And it’s winter and they’re reading the comments and answering them in inclement weather while they’re driving down highways. You guys are starting to act like the USA citing frivolous reasons to not accept your post and then they shadow ban you making the TikTok experience horrific. Then there’s no real communication, and sometimes the appeal process doesn’t even have anywhere for us to write our explanations. TikTok used to be fun, and I am on my 69th year on this planet, and now it seems like TikTok is running a social experiment to see how upset you get when they fairly start picking on you. Thank you! PS, Shou, you were great in front of the United States federal government. They just couldn’t grasp that you’re Singaporean and that just shows you how dumb the USA gop are! Lol. Best wishes always!
