Horrible
Every other week I’ll be signed out of the application or it has a service error. I have set the schedule to be warmer while our family is at work or school- and when I check the app, it’s been reset so it’s colder all day. This thing rarely works! It more often causes headaches and a more expensive electric bill! Not Accurate
This unit has many cons. First, it’s not accurate. The temperature sensor is four degrees high compared to two other thermometers. The temperature setting, on heating, is continually two degrees lower than what I set it at. The excuse is “saving energy”. While that’s true, if I want 69 degrees, I want 69, not 67!!! It frequently locks up.
In the summer, it’s worse. I set the temp with the app at 77. Within a few minutes, the temp setting goes up to 80!
The app periodically asks me for my password even though I set it to remember it. Lastly, it’s not compatible with Apple Homekit. The only advantage is that it’s free.

Great way to save energy
I love turning on the air an hour before I get home. Also enjoy changing the temp from my bed... wow I’m lazy. This app is great! Easy to use. I usually leave my unit off when I’m not home. I don’t see the benefit cooling the house when I’m at work.Keen98652
This is awesome!
I see a lot of other reviews that badger this app but I think it’s awesome. It has saved us so much on our electricity simply because we can control the temperature from anywhere. We were going to a friend’s house the other night and realized we left the AC on and were able to turn it off where normally that would have been on for 5-6 hours cooling NOBODY. The app is responsive and works instantly! Last year in June our energy bill was over $230 where we just got an email saying our energy bill is projected to be under $120 this month!!Show lessJbcabot
Erratic changes in temp-horrible product
This smart system seems to do whatever it pleases. I will turn the temperature up to 77* and then when I check it because the air kicked on again it shows it set back to 74*. It does this constantly. When I called NVEnergy and asked to be disconnected from them being able to change my temperature they said I have to be part of the program for 3 years first. I want to make clear that it is summer in Las Vegas so the change from 77* to 74* is not saving energy, it is using more. I am constantly on the app monitoring the setting because they change several times a day, sometimes several times an hour. Super frustrating. What I do like is being able to monitor and control my system from my phone so I will have to invest in my own smart system. Also the schedule setting interface is not user friendly and the temperature doesn’t follow the schedule that I set so what’s the point of even having it?! Huge fail.Show lesscharhorseappollo123
I would have never imagined how bad
This system is so awful and frustrating. It randomly changes your temperature all day and night. After 2.5 months of dealing with it I am planning on calling and having them remove the thermostat ASAP. I am so annoyed at the random temperature changes. They forget to mention that even when they are not doing an energy event they will change your temperature all day and night from. We try to keep our house at a fairly constant temperature. We have four children one of which is special needs and if it is really warm in the house she has problems. Well, i am now constantly checking the temperature to ensure they aren’t changing it. The other night the alarm on the baby monitor for my
son’s room was going off at 2am because they had once again randomly raised the temperature in the house and his room got very hot.Show lessfalexi
Works great; easy to program
5 thermostats installed today. Used this app to set the schedule (I’m on a TOU program). Very easy to use, much better than my old analog thermostats that I had to do standing in front of each unit (and didn’t give me a choice for “all days” like this one does). New user so far so good
Not sure if everyone else’s complaints. Maybe I’ll get there but too soon for now. However, my setup gripes (recommendations) are they there does not need to be so many limits on a software app. In setting the times you are limited to half-hour increments. Why not any time on the clock? Why only 4 time segments? Why just set 1 temperature and not a range of temps? So much more could go in to making this a robust app.Show lessT.g 1:)
Revamp this app
When you’re a new user and trying to register your account and click on the new user tab, it’ll tell you that your email is not a registered account. So there’s no way you can log in. Well DUH?! That’s why you’re trying to register! And let’s say you have a registered email with them on their system when you first have your account, people tend to forget and then to have different email accounts because remembering registered email registered to companies is the last thing they need to worry.Show lessRixyanx
DOES NOT conserve energy
I’m all for technology helping with conservation but unfortunately this app and corresponding service from NV Energy actually increases our power usage and substantially raises our bill.
It turns the AC on when no one is home which leads me to believe that it’s actual purpose is squeeze more money out of people who are trying to use less resources.
Lousy app, lousy thermostats and lousy service. Please AVOID getting caught up in this scam. Once you’re in it is extremely difficult to opt out.Show lessIpaddington
