super fun! different levels of difficulty and so many different stories. i’ve been playing this off and on for about a year and unfortunately i just ran out of puzzles :(((( there’s 640 so it occupied you for a while. idk what i’m gonna do now lol 10/10 recommend though
  • Could use a notepad

I LOVE this game. I play it all the time. My only suggestion is that I would love a notepad in the corner by the puzzle so it’s easier to keep track of clues. Thanks for making this!
  • Great if you can afford to buy more puzzles

I love logic puzzles, my eldest brother taught me how to play them. I felt some of the puzzles were challenging. The one thing I will say is I don’t think people read the intro part and because of this can’t figure out some answers from the clues. Unfortunately I'm unable to afford to buy more puzzles. It is a great one if you can afford extras.

  • Average

Complex puzzles are great. But not when you word the clues in a deliberately confusing way.
  • Don’t like hints

Overall I liked this app. The puzzles are just challenging enough to hold my interest and not need hints. The 2 times I did need a hint, I found them very frustrating. They’d just show you a box to mark false but not tell you why it was false. I like hints that explain the logic of how they got there so I can improve my reasoning for future puzzles.

  • Great logic app but purchases could be tailored to skill levels

As a long time fan of the Dell magazine it was great doing these puzzles. My only feedback would be to offer more tailored packages. The only puzzle in the trial that presented an actual challenge for me was the very last one and spending money to get 10 of the hardest puzzles, some of which will likely not demand that much thinking, is just not worth it (for an experienced logic-griddler - but great difficulty range for anyone new to this).

  • Great but…

I love these puzzles and the app is super easy to use. Only issue is I want to remove all solved puzzles so I can try again without using any hints - I’ve removed them all and none are visible in solved puzzles but I still have ‘x solved puzzles’ and can never reset my puzzles without hints to zero.

  • Not as good as the original app

Downloaded this app when I completed the original Logic Puzzles app. This one, unfortunately, does not live up to the original. They’ve replaced “hard” with “left out clues to make them difficult”. When finally, I click on hints to see what I’m missing, I find I’m not missing anything, and it just tells me to mark random squares false until the puzzle is solvable. As opposed to the original where there is actual logical explanations for the hints. I would avoid this app unless they fix it.

    Developer Response

Thanks, some good points. There are no "left out clues" that I'm aware of. Both Penny Dell and myself are OBSESSED with having accurate, error-free, complete puzzles. Email support@eggheadgames.com anytime with a screenshot and a question and we'll respond. I'm confident that there are no errors or guessing required. The "original" app you refer to has puzzles from Puzzle Baron (btw, kudos for completing it - did you solve all 8000+ puzzles??!!!). As you likely noticed, these puzzles re-use the premise from about 200 original stories. Some clever engineering by Puzzle Baron allows the "Smart Hints" that you're referring to, the ones that understand your current board position and the hints and can explain exactly what to do next and why. This app has puzzles provided by Penny Dell that are exactly like the puzzles they publish in their magazines. These are all hand-crafted, are all unique, and thus cannot be wired into the "Smart Hint" system. Hence, as you found, the hints provided are random cells. However, in case you hadn't seen it, there is an "Answer" section below the clues that has the same style (cryptic!) answers that Penny Dell publishes in the back of the magazine. It can be a puzzle in itself to work out how they justify each section in the provided answers, but it does provide a framework for solving the puzzle. In brief, there is a reason I prefaced this version of my app with "Hard". The puzzles are indeed more challenging and idiosyncratic than in my sister app. The hints are far less useful and the provided answer doesn't just give it all away. They're not for everyone, but I personally find these puzzles to be refreshing, frustrating … and really satisfying when I finally solve one! Thanks for your review. Happy puzzling! Cheers, Michael @ Egghead Games
  • Better but not

I like the second level of complexity with the clues and more than one group being ranked makes you think harder. But when it is harder the hints give you no explanation just a “mark this one” instruction with no clarification of why.
  • Stick to pen and paper

The squares on the phone are way too tiny to tap. You’re very likely to miss, or tap like 3 times in order to clear the rows and columns. Obviously they don’t use the app. They just want you to keep paying. It must be better on the iPad (with the pencil of course). It was something I wanted to try but obviously I’m going to avoid.
