Pretending to be Netflix but failing miserably

I’m considering cancelling Shahid because of the poor experience in how they launch new TV shows. First of all, most of the new shows are more than 30 episodes long. Not to mention some go around 90 episodes on average. They don’t allow you to stream it all at once as expected when compared to shows on Netflix or other streaming app in the USA. Second of all, the worst part is they only release 5 episodes a week and exclude the WEEKENDS!!!!! Why would you exclude weekends when this is the time people have time off and want to chill? Also, 90 episodes with 5 episodes a week is just begging users to stay longer on their app and continue paying for the subscriptions as a trap!!! Well guess what MBC, we don’t want to watch your super long turkish Arab Tv shows anymore! This is making us fed up with shahid, the show and the director all together. Finally, you NEVER mention how many episodes are in the show, disclosing important information!!! Because you know, if we know that it will be 90 episodes, we as Arabs would not want to commit to the show to begin with. I was really happy about the app but after revealing the BIG SCAM and lack of customer empathy, we are done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

worst app ever

I had high hopes for the Shahid app, but my experience has been really disappointing.

The user interface is confusing and cluttered, making it hard to find what I want. The search function barely works, which adds to the frustration.

The app crashes way too often. I can’t get through an episode without it freezing or shutting down unexpectedly, which is incredibly annoying.

Many of the shows I was excited to watch weren’t available, and it feels misleading when content is advertised but not accessible.

The video and audio quality are also hit or miss. Even with a solid Wi-Fi connection, the streaming is often choppy and not enjoyable.

I reached out to customer support for help, but I didn’t get any useful assistance. It felt like my concerns were just brushed aside.

Overall, I really regret downloading this app. I’d recommend looking elsewhere for a better streaming experience.

Very poor customer services

The customer service using only email, no international free phone number or local number in USA. The customer service replied fast to your email problem without providing any solution to your problems. I use to have the app running perfectly on my Apple TV device, I try to update the application and it didn’t work so I deleted the application and try to reinstall. I couldn’t redownload the application. With more that 12 emails no actual solution was provided. I am very disappointed 😔

As of August 1, 2024. The application announced price increase. I was paying $50/year now the want 100/year, which is 100% increase. This is unjustified and very bad decision for the publisher so I canceled my membership.

Don’t waste your money on something that doesn’t work

It’s a shame when you find content which you enjoy watching only for it to get disrupted by technical issues which you can’t even solve due to this platform’s inaccessibility. My access to VIP content was abruptly cut off in the first week even though it was meant to end in a month. And if that wasn’t bad enough, i reinstalled the app to figure out what went wrong only for the Shahid platform to not let me access my account past the login screens on both the website on my laptop & the app on my phone. Absolute disappointment of a platform.

App not working - expensive but no support available

App suddenly disconnected , I can’t log in with .my iphone And No support ?! Even the price is high .

there is no such a thing as free one month trial and they will keep charging you unless you file a complaint with itunes.

I'm disappointed with the content on the Shahid application. As a user, I expect to engage with programming that aligns with my morals and values. However, I've noticed an increasing amount of content that appears to push Israeli’s agenda and promotes perspectives that deviate from our shared principles. It's disheartening to see a platform that has the potential to educate and entertain instead being used to propagate divisive narratives and political propaganda.

Can’t log in.

I’ve tried logging into a different device a million times, but the app keeps saying my password is incorrect. I’ve changed my password three times. Still not working. The app only seems to allow me to log in on my main device. Fix your software please.
