Developer it’s extremely responsable.
Everything I have a questions he answer super fast. No subscriptions and an amazing app, I’ll totally recommend this app over any other journal app. You can even use it on your browser and it will sync automatically.
Phrase search requested
I love this app and the fact that it backs-up to Dropbox. I’ve updated my devices and am able to download previous journal entries with no issues! I am a therapist and recommend this app to all of my clients to encourage them to start journaling. My only request is that you add the ability to do a phrase search. I love the keyword search function but sometimes need to search for more than on word and that’s where it gets complicated. I have tried using quotations or parenthesis with no luck. Please consider adding this to a future upgrade! Thanks for a great app that I use every day!

This app beats the competition hands down. Buy it, help fund the developers and it will only get better. This is my view, I am not affiliated with Diaro.
I tried the market-leading competitors but I balk at the idea of paying a (high for me) monthly sub. I’ve imported my other digital notes. I’m in the process of going through old paper diaries and capturing the essence of my life ‘back in the day’.
I’ve yet to experiment with adding photos etc. That will be fun.
I hope that I will be able to integrate Drafts, another great Apple app, with Diaro. Then I will be able to do most of my writing in Drafts where voice dictation really speeds things along.

Nagging for location
I’ve used this app many years, it was good until recently when the app started nagging me to enable locations each time I want to add a new entry.

Fantastic support!
I have had to contact many developers over the years re apps not behaving as they should but these guys are sooo helpful.
Normally I’ve had to wait a day or so to get a response, but these guys got back to me on 5 or 6 occasions within 10 mins to help me out!

Best diary app have used
Been using diary apps a long time and started on this one in May this year. Just upgraded to the pro version.
It is by far the best one I have used that is cross platform. There are a lot of diary apps available but very few cross platform ones that are easy to use and work like they say they will.
Well worth the small amount of money for the pro version.
And it has a decent password protection option as well.

Updated: document export issues
Updated: After contacting support, I received a quick email response, the problem was fixed fairly promptly (a day) and I was able to export a PDF. While that is much appreciated- hence 4 stars rather than none - I also wasted a great deal of time dealing with an issue that should have been discovered and fixed previously- I am surely not the only person using an iOS device. Nevertheless a prompt response from support and a solution to the problem so I am pleased with their willingness to work with me and solve the problem. I do like the ease of using the app and the output is exactly what I wanted.
I upgraded to Pro so that I could see my input as one cohesive document but no matter how I choose to export my information- PDF, docx, text - I get the wonky DMS file that apparently cannot be opened or read by any other program. AND, extra annoyingly, there is NO support listed on website except for a worthless FAQ - no email, no nothing. Not only not worth the $5.99 but not worth the time it took to enter information.

Can't export as PDF
Update: Developers have now responded and all working fine. Back in love with the app, would recommend.
Have loved this app for quite a while now as the ability to save as a PDF was just what I wanted. However every time I try to export to PDF it tries to open another app and save it as a DMS file of which I can't open!! Have messaged support and heard nothing so I'm extremely disappointed. If this could be resolved I would be happy to award 5 stars for the app.

I am loving Diaro so far

Excellent - and so it was
This was a great app... now its stupid ads on the bottom of the screen its very annoying on the eyes and they wont go away unless you now buy the full version. Takes up 25 percent of your diary screen. You used to be great

Sometimes the weather works on it when you input where you are when writing. Sometimes it doesnt
Would love to see more feelings / expressions on the day you write. Would also like to be able to icloud backup. Not just Dropbox
