  • New interface is a lot worse

I used to like leveraging Wrike for all projects; however, the new UI just adds more clicks into a destination, which just makes the experience confusing and adds more time in the site figuring out where everything is. I wish they reverted back to the old layout where everything you need is listed on the side, instead of clicking on top to access certain areas and on the left for others vs the right. It just doesn’t seem well thought out.

    Developer Response

Hello there, thanks for your feedback! Seems like you are referring to the desktop version though. Is there any chance you could share your ideas on the navigation in the iOS app itself? Does it seem smooth to you? Thank you.
  • Good for Quick Views

I use the Wrike app as a basic way to stay on top of my Inbox. Navigating lists and adding tasks is quite tedious, Approvals doesn’t work for videos, and there’s no calendar view. I would also love to be able to see and add reaction emojis to comments from the app as well!
  • Coloring boxes in board view will help focus on high priority items.

Allowing to color the full box in board view will help visually focus the team on the high priority items. The pointing up arrow for high priority items is too weak, and not visible enough.
  • Horrible product

This app is horrible. It constantly crashes and can’t even open.
  • Ok for Single Project/ Company, Not For Freelancers

I’m a freelancer that’s been using Wrike (browser version) for years for multiple projects. I love it. I downloaded the app mostly for communication, so I could reply to teams and view attachments easily - I often want to know what’s changed in a doc. The actual work gets done on my PC though.

The app is sort of ok and might work if I only had one project/ company, but it forces me to log in each time I toggle to a new one. Today I knew I’d seen something hit my inbox I needed to rely to but couldn’t remember which company it was for. I went through all of them (took several minutes between logins and fat fingers miskeying) but the comment wasn’t visible in any. So, I went to my email and clicked the link there, then got a “can’t open link” error message explaining I either didn’t have permission or the link was bad. :/. I just went back to the desktop version. Sigh. I wasted more time trying to view the dang comment than I did in the entire span it took to boot my PC and reply like normal.

  • A la Cart

There are a number of less expensive options for project management that you should explore before purchasing Wrike.

The business subscription I pay for is $1,800 a year. Additional functionality cost more, the plan is to get you into a base subscription then sell more functionality at greater and greater costs.

Wrike is sold as “A la cart” but you can get the same functionally with Asana, Jria, Basecamp for less.

  • Good App, Shady Business Practices

The service and app serves our needs well, however, be cautious when paying in advance as they are apt to significantly change contract or service terms without offering any grandfathering or other recourse for existing users leaving us no alternative but to pay more.
  • Love this product and app

Great to be able to take Wrike on the go for quick approvals and updates. And I don’t know how we’d survive these days without Wrike yo keep us all on top of things
  • Make the iPad app like the Mac App

The UX of the iPad app is terrible compared to the Mac desktop app. I don’t understand why it’s so different between the two apps, but I’ve just resorted to creating my own Siri Shortcut on my homescreen that launches safari and loads the Wrike website instead. If the app were updated to replicate the UI and UX of the website and desktop app I’d re-download it then.

  • If you don’t like being harassed, don’t download

App is basic, not worth it. Also, I keep getting emails and calls from Chloe Fisher. I get it, they want to see how their app is and what we think of it. But she will not stop calling and emailing me when I have expressed my disinterest as well as asked her to take me off her contact list. The app itself is awful, there are so many apps that are so much better! Don’t waste your time with this app unless you love being harassed by members of the WRIKE company.
