A modern day slavery app for drivers
The Bolt app has a lot of issues, especially inaccurate pickup time estimates and an impossible in-app map for navigation. In fact, you might even find yourself at a police station using their map to drive in Ghana, as it doesn’t recognize one-way streets or no U-turns. Strangely enough, they refuse to correct these errors but instead focus on punishing drivers for not completing all trips. They have actually written sophisticated algorithms to penalize their drivers. I tried driving on the app, and it was nearly impossible, with long pickup times like 20 minutes that you’re required to accept and complete. They’ve also reduced their prices too much to attract more passengers to the app. For my convenience, I switched to driving with Uber.
