Worst app don’t waste your time
I just found out I was deactivated permanently today because I didn't meet the "on time" standards. I was still working as a shopper last week and thought nothing of it. I'd understand if customers give big complaints regarding being late for few minutes at a time. Shipt doesn't understand the pain that shoppers consistently get with add on orders for some customers and using lots of time for the long winded communication with the customers. The weak Wifi In the stores delay the process even further. And to spend more than 15-30 minutes time to try and find the customers apartment in many huge complexes is very nerve wracking for trying to be on time. Not to say many customers don't answer their calls and leave me hanging for minutes and have delayed me to be on time. The added steps to make sure it's delivered also takes time when there's no network reception in majority of apartment complexes. I wish SHIPT's "on time" standards can be more lenient for shoppers. We work hard to satisfy the customers needs but overall it's the company who decides who they choose to let go. I had good ratings of overall 4.86. I often go above and beyond looking for items not on the shelves. To substitute items also takes extra time. This feels like a slap on my face for working hard for this company and customers. Horrible company to work for!!
Get paid very little for the amount of items on a combined order plus far delivery!! They’ll deactivate you for any little thing! I did a little over 30 days and they said because my star rating wasn’t over a 4.7 that I was in violation of their policy they only give you up to 5 stars max and I was at the least a 4.6 crazy right??!! The Customers are crappy and privileged! Shipt takes forever to give you your tips it has taken 7 days before! They make you watch refresher videos when they want to violate you but they don’t teach you how to even do the orders when they first put you on board! You’re just thrown in to fend for yourself and then when you finally start to get the hang of things they’ll deactivate you for stars, what your car looks like, if you smoke they’ll deactivate you, you’re in the wrong no matter if you’re not! what the customer says goes even if you’re communicating, on time, tried your best to get everything on their order if they rate you low they’ll deactivate you! So beware and don’t get your hopes up! They’ll eventually find a way to cut ties and not pay you! I got an offer today to shop for someone and accepted the order. right after I accepted the offer I received an email saying that my account was deactivated for stars!! So now I’m not allowed to get back into my account to receive my money!!🤦🏽♀️

Great opportunity!
It didn’t take me long to get approved to get started maybe 2-3 weeks (compared to other app I have tried to get approved for) But I’ve enjoy how simple it is to use the app. It tells you where items are on each aisle and of course you can communicate with the customer. They have promotions to get more money on trips And certifications you can take to get more jobs. Available resources to help with mile tracking and taxes. Loving the app so far. The only down fall I see so far is you can see what kind of tip you would get until after the job is complete. But you can see how much the job pays you (base pay) when accepting the job.
Update: 1 year later. Still using the app as side money and still enjoying it. I feel the quality of customer are better using this app and tips are good! Some days I can do 2-3 orders and make $60 and I would say that’s consistent. If you give good service your customer will show that in your tips! A lot of great bonus money opportunities. They even have a program if you complete a certain amount of orders within 2 months with good eating the app will give you $50 towards your owe groceries! You get to use the app for free if you get approved as well. Overall I see myself continuing to use this as a side hustle!!
