I enjoy it enough to conquer my fears of math (mental abuse towards humans)

I have been using it for the past 5 or so months I believe. I saw people advertise for it for awhile, some who were even an nasa engineer (mark rober shout out to him). I love the characters and the design for this app, but I feel like there could be a few changes. Personally, I like having notifications because it helps me stay on track a lot. This app does have notifications but they are addressing my league. This helps because I can stay on track with it and continue getting my streak. But that’s the thing, they don’t remind you of your streak but just your league. This also doesn’t help because you have to pay for the app and sometimes I forget and sometimes it feels like I’m wasting money. Solution for this? Either make a widget or do what Duolingo does to remind you of your streak. All regards though this app is very well devolved and thought out, just more notifications please!

Great Content / Poor Quality App

The courses are great, but the app is by far the buggiest app on my phone. Given the price of the subscription I would expect more attention to quality.

10/10 app! 2/10 marketing/business strategy

Your program is phenomenal; I mean it. Your approach to business seems a tad counterproductive though. Perhaps add a WAY cheaper alternative to your subscription for middle, high school, and college students seeing as they require it the most. Adults can afford the extra buck and aggregate an offer/compensate by giving unique job/internship/opportunities/coupons. Consider partnering with Khan Academy or take notes from how they were able to “rise to academic stardom.” Understand that this’d be an investment as your acquiring a large net of customers in say five-ish years then when you have a solid customer base jack the prices while adding resource(s) and opportunities to recompénsate. You have the framework for something beautiful. Take it by the horns and see where it goes! If your at all interested in any of the aforementioned ideas implement them and consider hiring me as an intern ( I need the job exp). Much love, luck and good vibes!! - ET

Explained in a different way (but good)

For me in a high school kid I have never failed a class but I never understood them either but this app has helped me understand the topics that we’re doing in class in a different way than they’re explaining it. I love this app so much two things though I wish there was a read out loud and a draw feature.

Feels like playing a game

It feels like playing a video game but it focuses on learning, which is awesome.

The few gripes I have are minor - for example there are a lot more typos and mistakes than I anticipated, but I’m sure they’ll get ironed out as people report them; there is no dark mode and the app’s theme is white so it’s a bit too bright at night even with brightness down; lastly, if you stop mid-lesson and later resume, it makes you start from the beginning again. I understand that this is probably better so you can review where you left off, but making that a choice rather than mandatory would be great.

I’m not listing the pros of the app because they are self-evident and as advertised: it’s a fun, interactive way to learn and keep up with STEM concepts with very easy-to-follow explanations.

Amazing! But a few recent bugs

I love the app. Great curation, reasonable learning pace, a little too light on reinforcement of the reinforcement of formulas as opposed to concepts but that also really helps with the gamified dopamine rush that makes it easy to swap out a phone game for this.

In the last six month or so, my progress is getting flakier. On iphone, on most loads at the start of the day my course progress is incorrect and I need to do a force close for it to update correctly.

I'm also really disappointed that offline mode is getting removed since it was my favourite activity on a plane trip. I just noticed that Khan Academy offers this feature though so I might give that a shot again and treat this more as a game for when I'm bored

Great but

This app is great, only problem is high subscription fees, but usually a sale comes around once a year, so that’s nice. The biggest problem though is the sound effects. I like to listen to music while i use this app, and the stupid sound effects keep pausing it. Sometimes i can glitch it so i can listen to music at the same time, but that’s only happened twice. This has severely cut down my usage of the app. Please add in a mute button

The bite-sized STEM knowledge you never knew you would love so much

Don’t usually leave reviews but Brilliant is truly worth making my way over to the App Store and leaving a review for. Can’t overstate how much this is what people need to help them realise the beauties of STEM while simultaneously unlock their brain’s potential. If every child was brought up with the kind of curiosity that Brilliant stokes and bite sized, accessible knowledge that it offers, we would’ve had at least 100 times as many Einstein’s and Newton’s by now and the human race would’ve advanced light years ahead.
God bless the guys and girls over at Brilliant, truly doing humanity a service.

Great approach to make learning fun and develop a passion for interesting subjects

I’m using Brilliant to learn computer science. I’ve always had an interest in computer science, but always wrote it off as being too advanced and too technical for me.

Brilliant has made learning computer science fun and approachable. The interactive material makes the learner much more engaged, which I believe is crucial for learning and critical thinking. It makes an overwhelming topic like computer science easy to understand and digest, which in turn leaves the learner wanting to do more.

If you lack confidence in your learning ability, or are tackling a difficult subject, I highly recommend Brilliant.

Love The App, but Images Not Showing Up

I’ve loved this app for years, and I bought premium for a month so I could do some of the full courses since so many of them seem interesting to me. But when I use the mobile version, none of the images load. Most of the quiz questions depend on some graph or picture, but since I can’t see them I usually just have to guess the answer. It’s really annoying. These images do show up on my laptop but I always do Brilliant lessons on my phone as a “I have 10 minutes free right now” type of thing. I don’t want to have to use my laptop every time I want to do a lesson. Please fix this ASAP. My premium month is almost up and this has made the experience significantly less convenient.
