Bad for Japanese

For Japanese it is really bad. Some quizzes have random English words that do not match the Japanese audio or picture. For example, the English words “third” is shown, the Japanese audio plays “となり” (which means next to or neighbour) and the picture shows “Wednesday”. It’s just absolutely awful and would be detrimental to a new learner. Cannot recommend that, sorry.

Great idea but has issues.

I’m only on the second lesson and have already encountered a couple of issues that currently make this a no for me. I have found that when saying sentences into the mic it is very hit and miss whether they are heard even when my mouth is next to the microphone. It doesn’t seem to be hearing me about fifty percent of the time. Also I had it freeze up on me during one of the lessons while accessing the mic. I am on an iPhone 16 pro max with the latest software. It is also very expensive especially for an app that isn’t working for me. I have a few language apps and this is by far the most expensive. Overall, I like the idea but it’s not for me.

Crashes every time

I can’t even enter the app, it crashes every time. Reinstalling did not help

Meh

Concept is really good but the actual app is not great. The videos are not massively engaging - they seem a bit haphazard. Loads of them do not have the subtitles shown underneath and some of the ones that do, miss out whole sentences making it annoying/difficult to follow.

Flawed app with good content

I used to use it for just Russian, and other than having poor AI for listening to your pronunciation it was sort of usable.

I’ve recently added Chinese to my study, and the app is broken, it takes forever to calculate how many questions you got right in the previous exercise and you often need to force close the app to be able to continue to use it.

Given the price of the subscription, it’s disappointing that the app appears to basically orphaned and unsupported

Not worth it

Honestly this app really dosent provide alot of anything. The language tutorials are poor and clunky. The best thing app about this are the videos, but you can just watch all of those on youtube for free.

Unfortunately i decided to get a year subscription. Be careful cause they wont give you your money back.

I got the one year subscription at 40% off and i feel like its still waaaaay over priced.

Stay away! Just search for videos on youtube and save yourself some $$

Use this every day. Learning system motivates you to keep at it, I have used other apps. Have stuck with this one.
