Et pourquoi pas des envois au Canada???

Incompréhensible que Catawiki refuse de permettre l’expédition de colis au Canada. Pourtant nos sommes au 21e siècle bon Dieu!!!!

Bad since years

Really stupid delayed animations, especially during scrolling photos, no possibility to see all the photos at glance to pick up that you need, toxic blue on the whole screen while opening app, bothering updates of the app every week and so on

Catawiki is my go to source for vintage watches

Love the site. Mostly have had no issues buying vintage watches from Europe and having them delivered to the USA. I have had problems with about three watches out of the sixty I have bid on an won. So a pretty decent percentage are fine. In these cases it would not have been worth it for me to ship the damaged watch back and Catawiki support was not supportive of me the buyer. Still using the site so obviously the good outweighs the bad.

Catawiki- gone down hill

Been a buyer at Catawiki for more than 10 years. They used to be good but lately their customer support has crumbled, i.e. it’s non-existent. I have an open case since 3 months back where I’ve requested to return an object not as described in the listing (faulty) and another where the seller hasn’t shipped after more than a month! Reaching out to Catawiki, all I get is a boiler plate reply that they are very busy and will get back to me, which they never do. So good luck with Catawiki handling any purchases which don’t meet the description or getting your objects delivered at all, after you’ve already paid. Be warned!

The app itself is ok but the platform is sketchy

Search doesn’t work really well. Sometimes I get a red dot which means I should have new search results but there is nothing new there. It also often gives results that have nothing to do with my search. But the platform itself has issues. The items appear not to really be vetted by experts considering how many inauthentic things we have seen there. Customer service is also very hard to work with.

EDITED because Catawiki sent me a reply with a link to fill out a form that goes to…phone and chat support. There’s no link! So, yeah, this app has some mega issues. But so does the website.

Slow respond time

In the last four years, they are getting worst and worst. Often, when sent my message to them, they wound reply after the bid was over. I was trying to help to correct error since they don’t allow contact with sellers. Now, they add protection fee. Was it already included in the past? Why more fee??? I’ve been buying since 2020, from Canada, and now they can’t accept Canadian. Losing hope in their auction.

Fabulous secret!

Easy to use, professional and responsive Catawiki is an amazing way to buy and sell reaching a global market.

Buying

Thus far I have made quite a few purchases using Catawiki auctions and generally my experience has been good. However , I have to state that the ‘protections’ offered when things do go wrong seems weak. In particular my personal experiences with STB art in Belgium leave me wondering whether I can be bothered buying again. All Catawiki seem to do is send what appear to be AI replies consisting of ‘please wait’ , ‘give the seller another chance’ etc etc . This particular seller has consistently ( over 4 or 5 purchases from me) failed to deliver in good time. Their tracking does not work and it would appear that Catawiki could care less about this.
Needless to say I wont buy anything else from STB .
At the very least , I would expect Catawiki to suggest that this seller adopted a more secure delivery courier.

Can’t stand Catawiki and its app

In the past, I bought many items through Catawiki but then fell off for awhile as I used other platforms. I recently returned to Catawiki but have found that it has deteriorated significantly. It is very customer unfriendly and bureaucratic. Consequently, I am not going to be using this again anytime soon as there are far superior platforms. Additionally, I find that sellers on Catawiki charge ludicrously exorbitant rates for postage/shipping. The fact that Catawiki permits this is a disgrace.
