Good but menus are annoying
The app works well with my system. However when scrolling through music on my iPod, there isn't enough time to select music, I can barely scroll to the bottom of my artist list before the app goes back to the current song. Would really appreciate an update to fix this.Ollyollyollyollyollyollyolly
Can't get the App to see my receiver
The App managed to see my TX8150 receiver initially but it lost it and I can't get it back. I tried resetting everything on the network but to no availSam Wardill
Not able to set app to access media library
I used this app before and it was fine however it is not showing up in the privacy settings (in settings) so I cannot stream my music from my phone to my amp. Grrr and can't find a clear way of highlighting the issue or finding a solutionSquishScott
Do the firmware update and works for iPhone 7
It would not work until I updated my firmware manually in the menu. Took less then 10 mins to get my onkyo to get the new update and back in business.Holly42010
Zone2 volume is fixed, not adjustable
Can't adjust volume of zone 2 using the remote. It just says pre-out (fixed). Able to adjust volume of zone 2 using Remote2 when it doesn't crash. But Remote2 crashes a lot :(Disappointed in ctv
Used to love this app until IOS 10
Onkyo needs to get with the program. I used the Onkyo 3 app to run several zones and now I have to run it from the receiver because they refuse to update to be compatible with IOS 10 and the iPhone 7. Yes, we expect to be able to use ALL of the features when we buy your products, not just some of them. So, as everyone below me has posted, update your software. My iPhone 7 doesn't connect to my receiver through this app any longer and it's irritating. I can get Bluetooth, but nothing else.Show lessBacon jdale

Works beautifully with my NR717. I use the app primarily to play music over my DLNA server (Mezzmo).
I have an iPhone 5 and an iPhone 6, both work equally well. Receiver discovery is fairly quick. Like anything it can sometimes take a few seconds longer but most of the time it's alright.
I love the fact that I can swipe the list up and down with my fingers. Some apps require you to hit the up/down arrows to browse which is painful.
The receiver sometimes skips songs with the "cannot play" error message which can be disappointing, but that's not a problem with the app. It is also not a problem with the DLNA server as I tried a completely different one before.
Allows you to select which sources it should play, great to keep things tidy and accessible. Would be nice to hide the iPhone as a media source to further reduce confusion.
If you want to control every single setting of the receiver from your phone this is not the app for you, use oRemote for that.
