Zone 2 preout Fixed
Using the old Onkyo Remote 2 app I could adjust the volume of my powered zone 2. Now on Onkyo 3 i cant adjust the volume, it just says preout (fixed). I would be fine using remote 2 but it’s not supported with the new apple update.
If fixed would be outstanding or please update your remote 2 app for new versions of apple.
Otherwise I don’t need the app.

Works well for me
I see that this app has not gotten very good reviews but it has been easy to figure out and has worked flawlessly for me right from the start. I love the functionality of being able to control my stereo from anywhere in the house and I like the lack of complication in the interfacedatiba75
Wont connect to receiver 95% of time
Paid 1000 for a brand new amp and can't use app with it. 5g wireless throughout house. Can use bluetooth to the amp but the app wont connect to switch between tv and bluetooth etc.NatetheGreat!!
Needs work
Over all it works ok with my TX-8160, but it doesn't always play nice with Airplay on my iPhone. There is only feature I really need that this app doesn't have, is control over switching between my A/B speakers on my TX-8160. Adding A B speaker switching would be great, since my only use of my Onkyo is to switch between my pool speakers and the rest of my speakers throughout my house. TTY hanks.Show lessBsargee
I really like this app, but.....
It works really well with my 8160 stereo receiver. My only complaint is that it doesn't do background refreshing. So every time you switch to another app and back again, it has to reconnect. It's usually a minor annoyance but sometimes it fails to reconnect and I have to close the app completely and re-launch.
Other than that, it really makes controlling the receiver much simpler.Show lessNawlinstornado1919
FIX IT!
Worked- then it stopped. New app won't work with my year old receiver.( not compatible)..this one just stopped. Here's how this will probably play out:
Onkyo stops supporting my model, this app is dead, and the new one ("Controller") is the only one that gets any further updates.
That's all i need to know. This cheapens the brand for me. This has been going on being broken for at least (2) months. Clean this up.Show lessk-tonbomb
Was working until last week
Worked great on all my phones and 2 ipads until last ios update now sees all four of my onkyo amps but wont connect. Same problem with version 2 and my roomieremote system. Looks like apple broke something.

It could be beautiful.
The stuff this app offers is great. Fine tuning eq setting, volume remote, zone 1,2, and 3 support, able to stream music from your phone(not through Bluetooth), it just works sometimes. The dlna server times out. I have an NR-727. I'm thankful for the app, it does kinda well. It would be awesome if they fix all the bugs.Show lessOgbassist
Works fine
I have the tx555. Works fine with it. No problems connecting or anything. I just downloaded the app and it recognized the receiver right away. I like the app remote better than the actual remote. It's easy to navigate and use too.Mthompson4president
Pleasant surprise
Downloaded the app and opened it, expecting to have to go through a tedious setup process. Nope. It located my new Onkyo receiver (already connected to my home wifi) immediately and--viola!--just like that I had full control of all its functions. Interface is simple and intuitive. Awesome.JHOstow
