What a Mess
This app is in desperate need for fixes. This morning I opened it and my own safe was gone. Fortunately, my wife and I share our safes, and she was able to share my safe back with me. When I contacted them there was a techie response about sync issue that made no sense. For past few months this app also doesn’t automatically fill passwords like it used to. Unfortunately, we use this app to share our passwords with our grown up children. Now they have been using for their own purposes so I feel bad for misdirecting them.Show lessThe best
I’ve used Password Safe for at least 15 years, it’s the most secure way to manage passwords because everything is encrypted locally. I keep my safe in iCloud drive where it can be accessed by this app.
This app works flawlessly, haven’t had a single issue in the years I’ve been using it. I appreciate that there’s no subscription too. Developers, if you have a “buy me a coffee” link or similar I’d be happy to send you money for your continued work!
In short, the best way to securely store passwords across platforms (I have a Windows desktop and Apple devices) is Password Safe and this app.Show lessPWSafe is truly the best
Password managers have become ubiquitous in the past 10 years. This section of the tech industry has more claims about one being better than the other than any other industry. Password managers need to only do a couple things right for security, high-level encryption, db accessibility from the iCloud or Google cloud and able to generate passwords.
This app does it all and I have been using password safe, which is a sourceforge project for about 20 years. The makers of this app have perfected it and there is no reason to ever look at another password manager. The only thing that password safe does not do compared to all the others, is, it will not autofill. Autofilling in general is insecure and password safe is truly the most secure password manager option on the planet.Show less
