Works well

I find it way easier than going to the website and it always remembers where I am and can work on it anywhere.

Honest rating

The app is amazing, immense variety of courses to choose from and most of which are easy to access. Though some might need an extra payment to access extra material, it is understandable given the quality of the material provided. Itโ€™s also very insightful even without any paid upgrades. Definitely five stars!

App review

For the short time I have been using this app I found a course I wanted to take along with very informative well structured.

Great website, terrible app

The iPad app is so buggy. Restart app, course loads, next pageโ€ฆ course fails to load. Try and try. Using the browser again now which works well. The app is a waste of time

Thanks for building edX!

It helped me learn several topics

Good access to good content.

The edX project must be what scientists and engineers truly hoped for in the invention and establishment of our global communications network. Surely it was not to undermine interaction with passive consumption. Surely it was not to create a platform for commercial entertainment. Surely it was not to support a mountain of trivia, misinformation, and the unspeakably worse. I do believe that what they hoped for was to deliver good education to all people, everywhere. Grateful for EdX

I like the selection of courses available. If youโ€™re someone who likes to learn, you have the option of auditing the classes without getting a certificate. There is so much to explore at EdX. There is a multitude of programs available too if youโ€™re looking to advance your career or change your career path entirely. What a marvelous concept and undertaking by all of the schools involved as well as professors and staff.

Rating edX app.

I have a older iPad Air, with an upgrade from this particular app I would not be able to take the course. And it keeps wanting me to upgrade the to the newer app. But if I upgrade to the newer app I would not be able to take the course due to the fact that I have a older iPad Air. With this edX apps I can take the course of a cell biology. So all upgrades are not good, unless you have a brand new iPad, which at this point I cannot afford.

Intuitive, Easy to Use

Iโ€™ve found the app very straight forwards and easy to use. The script under videos, and the ability to navigate the video by clicking on the dialogue you want to skip to is fantastic.
I wasnโ€™t able to use the app in split window mode my my iPad which made it difficult to take notes and watch videos on the same device.

App needs work

The content is excellent. The app leaves a lot to be desired. It tells you that some content is better viewed in a browser, and some content that should be straightforward like a quiz does not even load in the app. Thatโ€™s fine, except that then you have to be online which isnโ€™t always possible. This is extremely inconvenient for fitting lessons in while travelling. I really wish the app were better.
