  • Inaccurate and unreliable

I got this for the air quality forecasts, but they’re not accurate according to Plume’s own graphs. The readings are also wildly different from 2 IQAir air monitors nearby, esp for PM 2.5.
  • The Only App So Far That Delivers Accurate AQI Readings

Living in the Yucatán, dust comes and goes on the Tradewinds from North Africa and I know when the dust is at high levels, even inside the house, which can be terrible at times. There is no other app in comparison to this one, that provides the accuracy needed to prepare for these dust events. I have been testing different apps, mainly weather apps, for the last couple of years, and those figures are way off- There is a huge difference, mostly showing very low AQI figures, when the air quality, obviously, is very poor.

  • Doesn’t work in Australia

If the app allowed data from purpleair and sensor community they could easily make this a global app. When I logged in it had my local AQI very high. I’m guessing it was probably using the nearest sensor… on another continent!
  • Nice design, often inaccurate

While I appreciate the app's sleek and elegant design, the information and data on it is often misleading and flat out incorrect.

As others have stated, the AQI is often underestimated. If you were to depend solely on this app for information about the quality of your air, you could risk putting your health and that of your loved ones at risk.

That being said, I am still reinstalling this app, as it is sometimes helpful (when it happens to be somewhat correct) and pleasant to look at.

  • No Canada data

Another silly app that will not work for Canadian locations!! Waste of time installing!!
  • Forecasts are AWFUL!

The immediate and forecasted results are all over the place. If you are mentally ill like me Do Not Trust this App. Last night it said 50+ today and next few days. Which would be awful. When I got up it was actually a far better 28. So I lost a nights sleep. I imagine they use these scare tactics to keep traffic going to App. Either way the App is useless.

  • Cela créé des besoins.

Maintenant je suis à l’aise avec le IQA. Tellement que je veut un lecteur de IQA. Mais voilà, c’est pas pour les gens à petit revenu disons.
  • Brilliant again

I used to use the old version pre 2020 every day but the new design ruined it for me. Happy to say that the small tweaks and under the hood updates have made this app a pleasure to use again. Great job plume
labs. Would love an Apple Watch version of this.
  • Where are the other places?

When searching up my areas I usually go to, it has no data for it. I may be using the app incorrectly, but when going to the map and searching for a city in the Bay Area, the less popular ones like Dublin and Pleasanton aren’t even registered. Not even Oakland is showing up. Even though it theoretically provides live data, there aren’t enough cities around to be a useful app.

Update: Oakland is found on the map but not shown through the search??? Such an odd design.
