  • Support for Canada?

Perhaps it’s user error, but I cannot see a listing for any Canadian cities. So my question is: Does this app support Canada?
  • Very helpful

Just recovering from bronchitis, so being able to see what the air pollution in the area is very helpful to me. The app works well, and is easy to use. Thank you! 😊❤️
  • Junk data

No way to tell where sensors are located, where the air quality data came from, or whether the air sensor is inside or outside. Plume shows my air quality at 68 (moderate) purple air which allows me to sort by indoor or outdoor sensors shows the air quality index is 143 (unhealthy for sensitive groups on the edge of plain unhealthy). 68 is ok for outdoor activity, 150 everyone should limit outdoor activity. Not being able to determine where the data came from I don’t trust it. The plume device is a wearable, I’m assuming they average the data or combine it with data from other sources.

  • Great app when it works

It gets stuck, and I get error codes. I have to delete it and re-download it. If they get the kinks out, it will be good.
  • Quality Air Quality App

This awesome app is giving me real time data in the midsts of heavy, dangerous smoke. I live in northwestern Washington State. My family lives in a line from southern Cal through the Bay Area and on up to southern Oregon. I’ve been able to follow the air quality all up and down the west coast. In some cases the readings have been worrisome. Other readings have calmed my concerns. I’m so grateful to the developer for providing this great, free applet. Did I mention it’s free? Just try it!!!

  • Hardly ever moved to write reviews

I love the design of this app, but unfortunately sophisticated design won’t save me from Plume’s absurdly inaccurate data. I live in California. Everyone knows the entire West coast is on fire, which means data accuracy is extra important right now. Plume has some cities marked as “Airapocalypse” that every other source says are fine. My city, which currently has extremely high levels of pollution, Plume calls “Moderate”. This is not cool!!! You’re affecting people’s lives, Plume!!!

  • In accurate and not in line with other indices

I think it maySeem in accurate because they’re using their own index and not the standardized AQI index. But this is useless to me. I want to know the air quality relative to other sources where I get air quality like the news radio and other Internet sites. Seeing some other random number doesn’t help. And I agree with other users where it does not seem to correspond to all the smoke we’re getting from the fires. I also noticed that the company doesn’t seem to have any legitimate responses for the bad reviews.I can’t imagine why the Review remains above 4.0.

  • Inaccurate forecasting

I downloaded your app for the air quality forecasting but it has been very inaccurate. Often the app predicts very bad air quality and usually that the air will only get worse. It went so far as to predict “airmageddon” which led to much anxiety. The reality was the air didn’t get to such extreme levels here in Oakland and I have since stopped relying on your app. You should improve your prediction tool (or remove it) and get rid of the use of the term ‘airmeddon’ which is sensationalistic and anxiety producing.

  • Double check with other sources

This app is nicely made but is dangerously inaccurate during these wild fires. As I write this it lists my location and city and area as all being in the green with a “last checked” of only minutes ago. But the air quality outside is barely breathable. And one of the worst days yet. All reputable apps and air now reports the air quality as being in the red above 140, which is clearly the case.

  • Inaccurate numbers

Checking Plume, the values are usually way off. Right now 30 points lower than other apps showing air quality. Other times it can also be way above current conditions. Unsure where the data comes from and if they try to map my location. Bit it’s usually wrong. Same issue when using for Yosemite valley it was off from other sources which were consistent with each other.
