  • Certain parts of the iPhone app are useless!

If you need to change some advanced settings like an FTP address you can’t. The UI hides key fields at the top of the form under a heading, making them impossible to get to! I had to install the app on an iPad to get around this issue!

Update - I have apparently stumbled across an easily fixable UI issue that is being looked into.

  • Love the cameras, the app and the alerts!

The detection and description detail and options for alerts are amazing! It’s quick to give me all the alerts I want on each of our specific camera locations. Our front door I chose to get alerts for people and in other locations I have any and all motion alerts set up in evening so I can feed a stray cat that came with our house when we moved in. Unfortunately I have not been able to catch it to make it an indoor cat, but at least I can feed the scared and hungry poor thing. That cat knows has figured out that sitting outside the back side yard camera will alert us to feed him, without attracting any wild animals. As soon as the cat is done eating and has left I get notified by the camera app so I can immediately pick up the plate. We were thankfully able to install these over 5 years ago where we use to have outdoor lights. I love this app and the cameras, excellent alert notifications!!! I wish it was more popular, because it should be!!

  • Decent App

App is clean and works well. Since professional installation over two years ago, my Outdoor Camera has been rock solid, however my Video Doorbell needs a manual reboot via the app 1 to 3 times per week, which has become obnoxious.

An app feature that needs implementation is to get the full vertical view once tapping a feed. I have to switch to the Apple Home app in order to see the full vertical view, for some reason.

  • The app stoped working (updated)

    Update
The glitch was temporary and all is working again. In time to capture video of the bear getting into the garbage cans. LOL

I have been happy with this until now. The app just stoped working. It wants me to reset all my cameras that I have been using for years. It gets in a loop and can’t get past the setup screen. I have four cameras that were already setup. Argh

  • Awesome product

Slight delay when viewing live due to encryption but great product and amazing customer service seriously I’ve had great experiences every time I’ve need to contact them. Also, grab a few SD cards because yours WILL fail they cost about 10 bucks and last 3-12 months but fail without warning
  • Badly needs multi-camera tools/filtering

The app works generally as expected but if you have more than a few it is painful to gain awareness of activity. The “feed” doesn’t label which camera the action is linked to (crazy omission!) and even more importantly there’s no way to filter to see just one or a subset of cameras. I get hundreds of captures a day on 9 cameras… so, for example, it’s nearly impossible to see if anything happened in my backyard last night as a result. The feed is overrun with other camera alerts (which I also want) and I have to click on each one and let it load to even see if it’s from the desired camera…

I hope the developers can add this basic functionality soon as it’s becoming a painful friction point that often makes buying a camera almost worthless.

Hello, thank you for being part of the Netatmo community and for sharing your feedback with us. All the cameras in the same virtual Home share the same timeline, if you need separate timelines for now you need to install each camera in its own Home. We took note of your remarks, our priority is to offer you the best user experience possible. Kate Netatmo customer service

  • Reliable but chatty

By far the most reliable of my HomeKit Secure Video cameras. Would benefit from a snooze function to suppress the steady stream of notifications that happens with persistent motion ( such as someone mowing the lawn)
  • Netatmo Indoor Camera very HOT

Since I updated to the latest software, 5.0.2, my Indoor Camera has been running extremely hot. Granted that I only had the camera for approximately 2 weeks, I’ve been using an IR thermometer on a daily basis (from day one) to get a baseline on its operating temperature. Prior to the latest app version 5.0.2, the temperature range from 104F to 110F. Now, it goes up to 122F. I don’t know if this is its normal operating temperature and I’m a bit concern that the heat may damage the unit. I disconnected the camera unit for now until I can do further research and also try to contact the manufacturer. My camera is on firmware 5.1.4. The room temperature is approximately 79F to 81F with 45% humidity.

Hello, thank you for your review. We want to reassure you, it is normal that the camera is warm to the touch. The aluminium body of the camera serves as a heat sink in order to extract the internal heat from it without using a fan or ventilation. The Indoor Camera system has been designed not to overheat, its operating temperature corresponds to the safety standards of IEC 60950-1 - Information technology equipment - Safety. We recommend not to place the Indoor Camera under direct sunlight or near a strong heat source but please be assured that the processor has and internal hardware protection that automatically cuts power to the processor in the event of overheating to prevent any damage. Doesn’t miss a thing. The night vision is actually brighter than when the light comes on. No issues since installed. Connected to home wifi easily. Love it.
